If by better you mean none whatsoever is better than whatever Seguin has then OK.

I mentioned this either earlier in this thread or in another one, but corvo is way too inconsistent and really hasn't been that good for a while now to think he will make a difference on the pp. 8 pp points in 40 games last season, 9 in 75 games the season before that, In the last 4 seasons he hit double digits in PP points once. In comparision Subban led dman with 19 PPA, Kronwall had 14.
I don't know why people continue to think he would help the PP. It reminds me of when people thought McCabe would help the PP.

He is 36 yo, a career -3 and has been on the wrong side of +/- for 6 of the past 7 seasons.

Kessel had a lot of personality issues when he first came into the league as well, in case you don't recall.

I'm sick of these faux-outraged people as well. And I don't think it's stupid, it's just a person trying to make a joke and in the process calling himself what he's supposedly "phobic" about. It's all so stupid.

His rookie year he didn't do much, but had a 'kreider-like' playoff that resulted in a ring. Second year he put up solid numbers for a sophmore and in this shorten season he played well.

Though not superstar numbers, he has been very good and is only 21. It's not like Taylor Hall is leaps and bounds better than him, or anybody in the 2010 draft for that matter. So I think he totally warrants being picked 2nd overall.

Considering Taylor Hall was the 2nd leading scorer in the West behind Patrick Kane, was on pace for shattering 90 points and outproduced Seguin by 18 pts in 3 less games played, I'd say he was leaps and bounds better than Seguin last season. He's always been the best player in the draft IMO.
 
Ryan trade is good for Ottawa until his contract expires in two years and he heads to Philadephia. Then those young players in Anaheim will look very, very good.

As for Seguin, he scored 29 goals two years ago. It would seem to me that he still has a chance to become a franchise player. 21 year olds like that don't come around that often. Some of the prospects Boston got were available because thery were not panning out quite like advertised.
 
So he reportedly showed up in the same clothes three days straight during the Toronto series, after being out late partying.

Kane gets a lot of **** for being a tool during the off season, but at least it's during the off season.

Agreed. I think Seguin is a tool, but he's going to be a very good/great player in the league and the Stars got the better deal.

If that's true (and who really knows) he deserves any flack he is getting for that. I am all about him being a 21 y/o kid wanting to have fun, and understand not being a robotic "consummate professional" at that age. But if you can't get your act together during the SC playoffs to help your team win, that's on you.

Same way I felt about Radulov/Kostitsyn during their supposed incidents. Have fun. You're humans. But lock it down and get it under control when you're trying to chase a Cup.
 
Kelly and Marchand are no where near on the same level. Kelly would go for sure if Boston had to choose.

I'd offer quite a bit for Marshrat if he's available.
 
The guy who tweeted it is saying it may have to do with the same reasons Seguin was traded(contract and maturity). The B's better get a handle of these young partiers they employ. jeez. I'm sure it's 100% speculation, Broons' fans are seemingly annoyed at the notion of Marchand being traded.
