I can't wait till Jagr starts sucking and the Devils crash down to Earth.

He's literally their best player along with Schneider.

what a bunch of lucky washed up scrubs. Getting lucky night after night after night after night after night.

Was there any doubt that Jagr would score the GWG? Seriously, anyone? I hope the Kings miss the playoffs.

Not sure if Steve Cangialosi, or Squeak from Baseketball.

I'm starting to hate the Kings. Boring-ass team. Scrivens shuts us out and gives Carter a freebie. I've never seen a team be as lucky as these Devils. That luck will run out. It's too bad though that it doesn't look like they'll get a top 5 pick. Would have felt really good to see that lose a top 5 team. I still doubt they make the playoffs, they're just not that good.

I remember how he fell off the face of the earth 2 years ago after a hot start with the Flyers. Except he played Girioux in his best season and he was 2 years younger. Old man river will disappear and so will this ****** ass team.

This would be a lot less annoying if the Flyers weren't red hot right now as well.

This would be a lot less annoying if we had the same amount of loser points as anyone in the division except the Pens... Cos they have the same as us.

At which point the Isles will catch fire and be the annoying thorn in our side in the playoff race.

I'd much rather watch a young and exciting Islanders team rather than this board talent-less POS team that gets lucky every game. The Devils wish they were the Islanders. If the two teams switched goaltenders, the Islanders would be challenging the Pens are now and the Devils would challenge the Sabres.

They'd be challenging the Pens for best high flying regular season team that will be out in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Their defense is worse than their goaltending. That team will go nowhere for the next 2-3 years.

Not worried, we have Kreider, and Nash is back. None of these teams had to deal with all the bullspit we did to start the season.

I just want our god damn freaking luck to turn the **** around.

It wasn't bad tonight but boy.

I mean, our reviewed GF and GA differential is at least -6.

I think getting our star forward is a step in the right decision. Plus he looks great. Odds are Kreider will start finishing more of his chances. All the teams in the division have more holes than we do.

Come on now, Kings -.-

Never expected this.

These last two games you just can't make this stuff up.

You can call it Luck or whatever but I'll take it and run.

As far as the "Luck" running out or Jagr running out of gas, Teams make their own luck(as the old saying goes) and Jagr seems to fit this team's overall style and *system* better for some reason.

Devils are making the playoffs, IMO.

So are the Rangers.

And I love 3-on-3 hockey.

Please either add it after the 4-on-4 period or get rid of 4-on-4 and have 3-on-3 for 10 minutes.

LA totally dominated that game, if it wasn't for Schneider, it would of been really bad.

Ranger fans spend too much time worrying about other teams.

The Rangers dodged a bullet with Mark Messier.

Look at the lost look on the face of Jason Kidd every night.

Howard Beck is now the NBA columnist for Bleacher Report. He was a NBA writer for the NY Times covering the Knicks and Nets before leaving for Bleacher Report.

He spoke to a NBA scout about Kidd

Kidd did not elaborate, other than to say his team was not properly prepared for the second half, in which the Nets were outscored 52-35.

It is surely too soon to judge Kidd’s coaching acumen, but it is fair to wonder whether he was ready for this job, on this stage, with these weighty expectations.

A veteran scout, interviewed earlier in the day and speaking on the condition of anonymity, called Kidd’s bench comportment “terrible,†observing that the play-calling has fallen mostly to his top assistants, Lawrence Frank and John Welch.

“He doesn’t do anything,†said the scout, who has watched the Nets several times. “He doesn’t make calls. John Welch does all the offense. Lawrence does all the defense. … I don’t know what Kidd does. I don’t think you can grade him and say he’s bad. You can give him an incomplete.â€

The same scout said he had counted only 15 plays run by the Nets in the games he has watched. Multiple observers have noted that the Nets offense lacks any discernible flow, as if the stars are all simply taking turns with the ball.

Last week, ESPN’s David Thorpe, who also works as a skills coach to a number of NBA players, called Kidd “the worst coach in the NBA.â€

Remember the argument Messier would surround himself with experienced NHL coaches. Messier wanted to bring in Brian Leetch who has less coaching experience than Messier.

Frank Isola

Kidd hired Lawrence Frank as his top assistant, and from what I’m hearing, there is some friction between the two longtime friends. A person who knows both told me “something has changed between them.â€

Somewhere Byron Scott is really smiling.

The head coach coaches the team and not the assistants. Kidd was a coach on the court. Messier was a coach on the ice.

Messier felt his playing experience was enough for him to coach in the NHL. Kidd felt the same way.

Whoever made the decision to avoid Messier as coach should be commended.

Jaromir Jagr was great for the first half of the season in Philly in 11-12. He played with Giroux and Hartnell. Jagr did nothing the second half of the season. He had the same workout routine as today. Jagr had the keys to the Flyers facility in Voorhees,New Jersey and would skate there by himself at night.

Jagr was really good in Dallas last season. Shortened season. You could not find him in the playoffs for Boston. The Bruins brass blamed Seguin for the loss to Chicago. The same brass brought in Jagr at the deadline.

Hockey is a young mans game.
