Jusi Jokinnen was available last year for free via waivers. He's an underrated player in the last year of his deal. Rangers should've grabbed him for the playoff run kinda like how they could've used Brian Rolston in 2011-12 for fourth line and PP duty.

Yes playing with the Penguins helps, but the guy has talent.

consistently would help... Rangers need a real offensive threat.. not a guy who scores twice a month. i like McDonagh but with his skating ability, i wish he had more offensive skill.. i know its doubtful but is it possible that he can score 10 goals 40 assist... he scored 7 in the 2011-2012 season...

I am not really surprised something like this happens. When there are more than 600 players active in the NHL, chances are one of them will do something that gets them into trouble.

The guy can play all 3 forward positions and can play on the PP. The GWG he scored the other night he could have done on any team; he picked off a pass and sniped one bar down on Rask. Last year people acted like he was making $6M. He makes $3M a year which is completely manageable for a player of his caliber. Not to mention he's excellent in the shootout. If he wins 3 games for you in the shootout he's worth his weight just from that

What a strange deal. Flyers are having trouble scoring, so it makes sense for them. But I don't get why the Avalanche are just taking Talbot back (glad to have him out of the conference). Some speculation on the trade boards that it's a precursor to Stastny being moved.

Just think. We could've traded Boyle and a mid-round pick for Downie and added a RH shot for the 2nd PP unit. Of course, who knows who the Avs even negotiated with.
