Real talk…if Lindy had UPL level goalie play they’d be in the playoffs. If Granato had Jersey goalie play we’d draft fourth. I may never forgive UPL for making us waste all this time with Granato. Next year’s hope is already tanked.

In other news….I almost admire Drury for asking on Tuch. Every prospect of any perceived value was off the table for Eichel…and now that almost every one of them has already been dropped or has lost value this sumbitch circles back for the centerpiece of the Eichel deal that did get made.

6th but if Toronto doesn’t win some rounds he’ll be 5 going into next year. 4 if Carolina doesn’t want to pay Brind’Amour

F it…do it. Lindy is far from my favorite idea but it is worlds better than another year of Granato. He might be able to convince Terry to let them actually build an NHL roster. It would be short term given his age anyway…then you can give him a front office job.

Again…I don’t “want” Lindy but he’s one of maybe two realistic options that could get Granato tossed so we do what we have to. The other is Brind’Amour because of the Adams connection…but that one involves Carolina moving on and Adams convincing Terry to pay him. So…yeah…there’s just the one realistic option

I can't believe Carolina might penny-pinch their way out of the best coach in franchise history. I'd love to have him here, as doubtful as that is.

I wasn’t that long ago that you were complaining about UPL.

Now he’s a Vezina caliber goalie, and it’s his fault Granato isn’t fired.

The Pegulas could sell, Adams fired, Granato fired, Sabres go get all the free agents, and I don’t think your posts would be much different.

Some humility would go a ways. Maybe recognize that Adams was smarter than all of us waiting for UPL to develop?

I would love Lindy in an advisor role to start. We know Terry doesn't like the President of Hockey Ops role but maybe Lindy is the right guy to make him rethink that eventually.
