And with Werenski's placement on IR with a thigh contusion, Jirichek has been recalled from Cleveland.

*No, phone, not "Jericho" and not "Gecko". His name is Jirichek. Jirichek. Predictive text yourself you IOS piece of crap.
Thigh contusion doesn't sound all that bad. Usually a couple of weeks at most.

Will be interesting to see how his body holds up to make that contract worthwhile as it takes him to 36yo
I think they just want to win another cup -- he'll be teaching youngins on a rebuilding team by the time he's 36.

Memories..

Haven't seen anything that brutal since Crosby-Krebsy.
Does ahlTV look that crisp and bright for other teams or is it just my feed that looks like it's from an era when those tilts were common?

The Moose play in the same rink as the Jets so they have HD cameras unlike a lot of AHL barns. Hell, most of the OHL and I think all of the Q rinks have better cameras than the North Division do in the AHL.

Counterpoint: any goalie that moved was better than UPL.

There are always options, but Adams doesn't seem to like admitting his mistakes and doesn't want to change anything.

We’re one week into the season. There’s a reason why prognosticators wait until American Thanksgiving to draw any serious conclusions from the season.

No matter how long it takes, I say this before every season and the same mistakes are repeated, and the team is not in the playoffs.

Just had to look, the standings are looking like 13-14 all over again at the bottom

Most posters were wrong with where they predicted the Sabres would finish last year. The Sabres surpassed their expectations. That should've humbled them a bit, but arrogance is a deeply rooted character flaw, which is why even if they're right once in a while- they don't get any respect from this anonymous internet head.

Last season I wrote that they would score 90 points, so I was very close, it’s a shame it wasn’t enough for the playoffs. This season, maybe 95 won’t be enough for the playoffs, who knows. But this is not the question; rather, why Adams did little in the offseason, or is he self-confident that the team will repeat or improve the result with almost no changes. But our competitors don’t sleep either and are always trying to improve, so we had to do the same.

Or you, but I hope it will be me.
Well the odds of “one day” being right are pretty high. The odds of “one day” being wrong, not so much.

For me to be wrong we’d be looking at the league finishing, the team relocating and no longer being the Sabres, or the Sabres missing the playoffs into infinity.
