I can't see the NHLPA rolling over on a 41 game suspension if it wasn't betting on the NHL and it was merely a high volume of legal bets. And it doesn't seem like the placing bets from within a team facility like we have seen in the NFL. I doubt Pinto would be happy things have been kept quiet if it was just that.

I think we are kind of aligned on all this. My only color to it is the specificity is probably not known, and there is a LOT of damage control here.

I won't be shocked if we learn more as the NHL and NHLPA work to clarify to the players what is OK and what is not.

I know its way too early and ultimately meaningless but the difference between Eastern and Western conferences the last few years is wild. In the West we would currently be the top wildcard seed in the East we are the 3rd worst team in the conference.

Who gives it the green light? Anyone with a funny bone in their body I'd guess. The east tell is the crowd howling and cheering. I'd love someone with a fraction of this creativity to be running the Sabres' in-game entertainment.
