Montreal atop the East. Who would have thunk it? I know having Markov healthy is a big boost, but damn, how fortunes can change. A little bit of confidence and almost any team can turn it around in a short amount of time (or descend into the dumpster as in the Sabres case with a drop in confidence). Such a funny sport.

Markov is far and away their best skater. He makes such a huge difference in all facets of their game.

This game is about so much more than talent. They're not a spectacular roster without their 4 best players...in fact, they're awful on paper. Toronto doesn't look too hot on paper either. But both teams are playing their hearts out night in and night out. It's such a mental game, and our team has a bunch of midgets at the moment.
