I always liked Vokoun...felt bad for him to be stuck on Nashville (while they were usually pretty bad) and Florida...

On a better team he'd probably get the recognition he deserved.

The numbers certainly suggest that. Still, many believe he does better when he can thrive in relative anonymity. He's solid, though.

Especially for Islers fans. But yea, in all seriousness it's a real shame for DiPietro himself. He had a bright career ahead of him. I thought the guy was a bit of a tool if I remember correctly (hell, he's been out of sight out of mind for so long now), but that doesn't make it any less a shame. There was a time when he was the apparent future of Team USA goaltending, seems like decades ago.

My god, I love hockey but the "systems" and "coaching" in the NHL are hell bent on killing the game. Everybody who paid to watch this Canucks/Preds game should get their money back.

I wish the CHL video packagers weren't horrendously overcosted or else I'd me some OHL/WHL/QMJHL action. I can only take this whole "sit back in the neutral zone and hope you score a fluke goal and win in the shoot-out" strategy is just killing this awesome game.

Last year's playoffs was a pain to watch, most boring playoff hockey ever...

Not really sure how it's gonna change except if a team goes Harlem Globretrotters like 08-10 Caps (who then lost one playoff series to a hot goalie and their FO and coaching staff decided to go the "safe" route).
"Safe" route is the easier route to go... I just don't see many teams going overly aggressive anymore, not after last year's playoffs.
