Semin on buyout waivers from Carolina. Wonder if he bolts to the KHL or signs in Pitt for a discounted rate (though, Rutherford signing him twice makes me laugh).

Hurricane fans were quite adamant that Semin was reformed and got crazy defensive when people suggested it was a bad/stupid contract
.

I remember that, this is delicious now

Not bringing back Arcobello seems like madness from the Coyotes unless they want to be the worst team ever.

That's pretty funny. Wonder what he got.
Next years 1st and a prospect or maybe just the prospect and they already had the first from LA from the Lucic deal? But I thought I read it was SJ first. I could be wrong.

Hamilton just gave the Bruins the middle finger with his contract extension.

Apparently he'd been asking for about $6.5 mil from them.

Signed a 6 year extension w/ the Flames for $5.75

I'm happy with the Flames even though some of their fans were really condescending knobs towards us about tanking last year. Their rise is going to be a lot of fun to follow.

Clearly didn't want to be in Boston, which is surprising. Hockey market, good sports city.

Yup, I'm interested to see if they can continue their success this season. Hamilton will certainly help, but some of their younger guys having going through potential sophomore slumps could hurt them. Will be fun to watch them either way.

I wonder how much his demands dropped after the post trade smear campaign the boston press had

I thought contacts couldn't be signed until tomorrow? Why does ROR have to wait until tomorrow but Hamilton could sign early?

anybody else still want to bring in a backup /upside UFA goalie?

I dont see why we cant have a competition for the backup job, loser gets waived to Rochester. I doubt they would get claimed considering most teams should have their goalie situations settled by the end of camp.

I thought Stanford was going to be lucky to get a 1 year / 1 million deal?

4.35 per

95 points in the last 192 games.

For a guy who doesn't bring a whole lot of a two way game, giving him a raise for average .5 PPG for 3 full season seems pretty foolish.

At least its a short term deal.
