Mackinnon with some kind words for Adam Lawry
For Kypreos is was face downOkay, this was what I was wanting to post before I hit the Post button too early
On the Friday episode of The Fan Hockey Show on Sportsnet with Matt Marchese and Mike Futa there was a discussion of which was the correct way to hold your stick on the bench; knob up or blade up, and a bunch of current and former hockey players responded directly to them. This is only tally of players that actually responded. I found it an interesting topic, just a quirky little thing within the game to have fun with. I believe I was a Knobs up guy, no reason behind.. it just happened that way.
How did you hold your stick on the bench and did you ever notice if the team you were on was mostly Knobs or Blades up?
The link to watch this part of the episode. It's pretty interesting. There's some feed back from the players on why they held their stick that way.
Sportsnet - The FAN Hockey Show: Jan. 24 - Canucks Crumble
No chill from bustamente. Could have made a comment on any of the other players, but nope, went right for the dagger. For Kypreos is was face down
That was all Laine passing behind Matheson and not in front of him. Way to long of a shift for hm too.Habs golden child (for now) Laine with a dreadful pass in OT leading to a Hughes breakaway goal.
Of course they’re laying the blame on whipping boy Matheson.
Jets are 1-4 in their last 5 games against the Capitals, being out scored 16-9. We always have difficulties with them.Just wait until we play them, we will break them like we did the Rangers .
Canucks would have Myers 6’8”, Stanley 6’7” and Desharnais 6’7” on their defense.Logan Stanley for Pettersson.
You can't teach 6'7".

I heard Friedman talking about how the big rise in the Salary Cap projected was going to affect teams that don't think they have the revenues to spend to $95-100 million. Colorado he hinted might be one of those teams. I wonder if there is a number that Chipman has as a ceiling. Also if Rantanen gets $14 million on the market, I don't think it's inconceivable that Ehlers might look at $11-$12 million as the next guy on the totem pole. Colorado desperately needed to get 3 centers going with Middlestadt struggling, so I think that was part of the trade, where Drury was a need for the team. And Necas is at least a talent that can somewhat offset losing Rantanen. This is kind of the Avs making up some draft capital they lost last year by having to get Johansen out of town, imo.Just saw that Rantanen was asking for 14M per year in Colorado
Trade is making a little more sense now
Probably starts in net. I've watched a few highlights of the Rangers lately and they split up Kreider and Zibanajed and it seems to be working. Also putting guys on trade alert to Vancouver seems to have lit a fire under them. I guess getting traded to Vancouver right now would have that effect.NYR have gone 7-0-3 in their last 10 and are only 3 points out of a wildcard spot
Someone must have put the dumpster fire out lol
Is drury more than 4th line though? Think i would have just paid rantanen, hed be a key part of your team for 8 years... im sure he will sign for 11-12 in the end... this stuff is always exagerratedI heard Friedman talking about how the big rise in the Salary Cap projected was going to affect teams that don't think they have the revenues to spend to $95-100 million. Kakko has got a lot of attention since being traded, but the Rags just re-signed Borgen, who replaced Trouba with K'Andre Miller, so they must be happy with that exchange, Two trades that have reconstructed their defense.
4th line in Carolina, who have one of the best checking lines in the league with Staal and Jarvis. 3rd line in Colorado, replacing Parker Kelly, who has been an injury fill in since Miles Wood went down.Is drury more than 4th line though?
