  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Just hope he stays out East. He can be a devastatingly cheap shot hitter that I wouldn’t want to face multiple times a season even though his defensive play seems to have deteriorated.

Feel like Dallas will be in on him.

That's crazy but I could absolutely see Waddell wanting Trouba to pair with Werenski. Knock Fabbro down to the 3rd pairing. Or move him to Vancouver for draft picks. That's a hell of a way to move your captain, but it always seemed like an odd move to name Trouba a captain when he was not a long standing member of the team. Rangers will make a big move with all that cap space if they clear him out.

Trouba would still be a huge upgrade on Stanley and that's kinda sad .

That trade in June 2019 has proven such a massive W for Chevy, but in hindsight it would have been a W if Chevy got nothing more than a 7th round pick or lint from Jeff Gorton’s dryer.

Trouba’s play for the Rangers at his cap hit has been a net negative for that franchise, there’s no other way to spin in.

At 5v5 with Trouba on the ice, the Rangers are 259 GF 271 GA = -12
At 5v5 w/o Trouba on the ice, the Rangers are 564 GF 482 GA = +82
Cost: $45.8M (to date)

At 5v5 with Pionk on the ice, the Jets are 283 GF 278 GA = +5
At 5v5 w/o Pionk on the ice, the Jets are 509 GF 440 GA = +69
Cost: $25.2M (to date)

20-20 hindsight: Jets win running away.
