Anyone else watching the Monday Night Hockey Amazon broadcast to see what to expect?

John Forslund covering the Habs game.

The stream quality seems noticeably better than TSN4K and Sportsnet's 4K broadcasts. The broadcast introduction lasted probably 5 minutes total between John Forslund introducing the broadcast crew with a map of where they're from and right into the panel who introduced themselves with a short ~30 second video. After that it was all about the Habs and all about the Penguins.

Seems to be simple and to the point focusing the broadcast on the teams. A bit of fluff in the pregame but they're not shoving sports gambling at every chance they get. I think I've seen 2 ads for a sportsbook.

The Prime scorebug is pretty awful.

hutson touches the puck and you'd think they just won the cup with how they react lol

They could probably tune the in-arena audio a little, the goal horn completely drowned out the commentary

The Amazon broadcast actually feels like a national broadcast. It's not pumping one team's tires over much at all. Rogers and Bell should be terrified
No bells and whistles, no gimmicks on the broadcast, just simple with high quality commentary.

Amazon gambling ads?

The gambling ads are brutal.

There was a gambling ad on every other commercial break. There weren't any ham-fisted attempts in incorporating them into the actual hockey segments with the on-air personalities giving odds or anything. I don't want to name the specific company that was advertising their sportsbook but it was relatively minor.

Rutger getting scratched today - if he is in the press box against us in 6 days the "Where is Rutger" chants will be amazing

Really good game for his line in his absence and Pulju got a primary assist. Hard to see how he gets back into the lineup in the near term now unless there are injuries or they are really committed to playing him in the NHL and willing to play him on the 4th line.

I didn't expect him to play during the game against the Jets anyway, this game probably sealed that.

I have watched all his games and tbf as much as I don't like the guy, he has been better than these comments suggest. I think he will atleast be a bottom-6 NHL player. I do agree with the comments though that he should be down in the AHL for his own good.
