I think the Wild did a really good job here, their future defense potentially looks great with Faber, Buium and Jiricek. It's already good though.
Agreed. This team needs a proven NHL vet on the back end..

Well, I think Jiricek definitely deserves that 1st, unless we're not going to tank for Hagens, we're not going to, are we?Esp since Buffalo's 1st is trending to be earlier than Minny's...by like 17 spots.
That’s what I thought on the return Columbus received for Jiricek. On the main board they seem to think Minnesota won the trade at least from the posts that I read.Jesus, that's a HAUL by Columbus.
Would MUCH rather put the equivalent assets into acquiring proven talent.

Seems most Columbus followers really wanted Wallstedt at leastIs it though? That pick is likely to be in the mid-20's at best. The other picks are a mixed bag but later picks aren't a sure thing. Maybe Hunt turns out to be something, but there is no Yurov, no Ohgren, no Biuim, no Wallstedt... It's a bit of a letdown honestly.
This is pretty cool, even if it is the Bruins -
They say our lovable weird gremlin is washed up, but deep down we all know the truth:
HECKUVA JOB KEVYN!!!Columbus above Sabres. They were dead last year.
I watched Columbus play yesterday and they look very solid. Even Provorov has improved since Philly. Werenski is very good, Fabbro complements him well on the first pair. Marchenko is great, Voronkov is a beast. Kent Johnson is a potential superstar.
The Jackets will be back in the playoffs before we are.Evason doing work
I think everyone there is already going to return to the playoffs before us for the second time, such a long drought. The expansion teams have already been to the playoffs and one of them won the cup (not without our help), maybe Utah will get to the playoffs before us.The Jackets will be back in the playoffs before we are.
Fabbro would've been an interesting buy low option. He wouldve came cheap.I watched Columbus play yesterday and they look very solid. Even Provorov has improved since Philly. Well we talked about it and @Der Jaeger has been screaming for years but... I don't know why it's so hard to make a move like that when your head coach puts your top 4 RD in the press box. It's really frustrating that our GM can't be creative.Fabbro would've been an interesting buy low option. He wouldve came cheap.
Marino or Fabbro wouldve been nice. Obviously, Marino hold more value (and should've been targeted heavily when made available), but even adding Fabbro would allow Ruff to break up what really doesn't work, which is pairing Joki with Power. If that doesn't work, you atleast get a possibly better option on the 3rd pair than Bryson. We just cant count on Sammy being what he was or even healthy for that matter. Once he sucked and went down again, Adams shouldve been all over a Fabbro like addition.Well we talked about it and @Der Jaeger has been screaming for years but...
