Jesus, that's a HAUL by Columbus.

Would MUCH rather put the equivalent assets into acquiring proven talent.
That’s what I thought on the return Columbus received for Jiricek. On the main board they seem to think Minnesota won the trade at least from the posts that I read.

Is it though? That pick is likely to be in the mid-20's at best. The other picks are a mixed bag but later picks aren't a sure thing. Maybe Hunt turns out to be something, but there is no Yurov, no Ohgren, no Biuim, no Wallstedt... It's a bit of a letdown honestly.

Seems most Columbus followers really wanted Wallstedt at least

Interesting to compare what Guerin has put together in Minnesota vs here.

I watched Columbus play yesterday and they look very solid. Even Provorov has improved since Philly. Werenski is very good, Fabbro complements him well on the first pair. Marchenko is great, Voronkov is a beast. Kent Johnson is a potential superstar.

The Jackets will be back in the playoffs before we are.
I think everyone there is already going to return to the playoffs before us for the second time, such a long drought. The expansion teams have already been to the playoffs and one of them won the cup (not without our help), maybe Utah will get to the playoffs before us.

Fabbro would've been an interesting buy low option. He wouldve came cheap.

Well we talked about it and @Der Jaeger has been screaming for years but... I don't know why it's so hard to make a move like that when your head coach puts your top 4 RD in the press box. It's really frustrating that our GM can't be creative.

Marino or Fabbro wouldve been nice. Obviously, Marino hold more value (and should've been targeted heavily when made available), but even adding Fabbro would allow Ruff to break up what really doesn't work, which is pairing Joki with Power. If that doesn't work, you atleast get a possibly better option on the 3rd pair than Bryson. We just cant count on Sammy being what he was or even healthy for that matter. Once he sucked and went down again, Adams shouldve been all over a Fabbro like addition.
