Ottawa is just a mess, and honestly they might be our closest comparable in a couple years if things don't get better. I get the whole transition period post-Melnyk, but they stuck with D.J. Smith way too long and now they just look like a team with a bunch of really talented top-10 picks who have absolutely no concept of how to play winning hockey or adhere to a system in the NHL.

I do think we are more proactive in bringing in veteran/winning leadership tho, no? And the Sens kind of lost all the DeBrincat thing
