Byfield is playing really good, looking close to the player they were expecting at draft.

Mctavish lvl right now
I expected improvement from him.
Last year his shooting% was way too low for him to be that snakebitten forever.
Granted his strength is in playmaking but he was so snakebitten last year that he's due for goals to start going in.

With McDrai that is a crime… even if there is some schadenfreude.
I complained about this franchise more often than I should have, and I kind of feel bad for McJesus and Drai (and Luca Münzenberger, whose twin brothers were students of mine)...but oh boy, do I look forward to McJesus and Drai bailing as soon as their contracts are up. This franchise is probably an even worse disaster than Arizona or Chicago, especially with the ridiculous amount of absolute high-end picks they were gifted including a generational player and a high-end elite center that could very well be one of the top-30 centers of all time once everything is said and done.

NHL clearly has its favorite teams and the ones it doesn't care about. They don't even pretend to hide it. If they hate you, nothing will go your way (refs, punishment, etc), if they love you everything goes your way. Teams like Chitcago gets rewarded for far worse.

The Jackets are having one of those 2022 Ducks games right now.

God damn, I love these Pavel Bure era Canucks jersey. Can’t believe how bad the Oilers are even after they were gifted a goal on an obvious interference call.

Vancouver has 2 of the top 15 players in the league. They finally look ready to take a step
and their 3rd best player is JT Miller who's been a PPG+ player the past 2 seasons and looks to be doing it a 3rd year in a row. 99 points 2 years ago as well. If he plays another 8 years he has a chance at 1000 career points.
