f*** that. they were gifted #1 pick after #1 pick AND the potential greatest player of all time and still haven't been able to do anything. not to mention their loser fans and how they're still bitter over 2017. they deserve the worst and more

Lol. In another thread i was talking about empathy for the sharks fan base and sabers fan base because of how hard it is to be a real fan as opposed to a fair weather fan.

Empathy aside if your org sucks bad enough to get multiple 1st overalls in a row including mcjesus and you still suck, you better bet the rest of the league including this ducks fan will eat up the drama. Is it a tragedy that mcDrai may never win a cup? Absolutely. Is it also hilariously entertaining ? O hell yea

Most amazing stat I saw was in this his now 13th season in Edmonton, RNH is on his TENTH head coach. Holy hell, how are you that unstable for so long?

Firing Woodcroft is a hilarious bad move by Edmonton.

Lost to the eventual Cup winners each of the last two seasons, and while this season has been rough....there are so many other problems at Edmonton.

Good for those of us who don't want to see Oilers ever succeed though after being handed so many 1st overall picks.
 
Holland has handstrapped himself so much that this was about the only change he was still able to make. Oil is in a downward spiral even when they inevitably turn this season around at least a bit.

"The Tank" is manifest in how the franchise is handling itself, an obvious and grotesque attempt to be terrible, and that's the kind of thing that should and does leave a bad taste in fans' mouths.

Johnny Gaudreau in his first 17 games this year: 1 empty net goal, 6 points, -7, benched for long stretch of the 3rd period for the second time this year.

Laine also benched for the final 10 minutes tonight, 2 goals in 8 games while dealing with injuries. Hard to win in this league when you’re getting virtually nothing out of the two guys taking up nearly 1/4 of your salary cap

They look really good. it's all about the goaltending, they remind me of the 2009-2010 Flyers in terms of roster construction, but they will finish higher in the standings
 
Good thing the Kings have McLellan as their coach. He's got as bad of luck as Boudreau.
The only coach to lose two seperate series to Randy Carlyle. The presidents trophy Sharks in 09 and the 2017 Oilers. Also in 2014 his Sharks had a 3-0 series lead that turned into a 4-3 Kings winning the series.

He’s a hall of fame coach if he wins a cup this year. Wouldn’t be shocking and something I’m definitely dreading

Awesome play by Byfield. Excited to see how good Leo is at that age given how he’s already looked. Fun to watch these guys start to do stuff you’ve never seen them do before.

Dude is really turning it on. Gonna be some fun years upcoming, because the Kings managed to keep their window open, but still have really decent young guys for the future. By the time the Sharks are out of their rebuild too, it’s going to be the California gauntlet again.

Oilers look to already be cooked. Basically have to go on a 105-110 point pace the rest of the year just to climb into a wild card spot, which feels unlikely even with McDrai. Might be watching the end of this era in real time
