I've just seen DJ Khaled is going to do a pre-game for game 2.

DJ Khaled in 2024 lmao. The NHL really does suck.

Slightly more modern than booking the Jonas Brothers for the Stadium Series.

Although, I actually enjoyed that more than I thought I would. Maybe DJ Khaled will be a pleasant surprise as well.

Take a wild guess who just got booked as the halftime show for the 111th Grey Cup?

Also anyone remember the "legendary" Cee Lo Green pregame concert before Isles-Rags at YS where he stunk out the joint and got booed off stage?

I think the Jonas Brothers are somewhat relevant again. Maybe it's because they're back together (like Blink 182 or at least the classic lineup of Blink 182) and were doing solo stuff for the last however many years up until fairly recently? My friends took their kids to go and see the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus (I think they were on the same bill?) back during the year the Prudential Center opened. I think the Jonas Boys and Miley were all teenagers at the time. Some only in their mid teens. I couldn't have told you any of their songs, but my friends young children (they were like 8-10 at the time) went to go see them.

I think my other friend took her small kids to the same tour when it came to Tampa back in 2007 or 2008.

I really have no clue about these things though. I figured the Jonas Brothers were sort of like how Blink 182 is more popular than ever the last couple of years, though I know the Jonas Brothers aren't NEARLY as popular as them.

I still have no idea of any of Khaled's (or DJ Kahled) music or what it sounds like. I'm not sure if the Panthers pay him or if it's the league. I'm going to assume it's on the Panthers. He probably ain't showing up and playing for free, unless he's just a huge fan of the Panthers or something. Even then I don't think he's doing it for free if he's expected to perform.

From what I've heard, Gaslight Anthem were paid a pretty good amount to play the stadium series. And some of them actually are Devils fans. I'm sure the Jonas Brothers were paid even more, because they're a much more known act. And Jay Weinberg also got paid more to play drums for their Jonas Brothers that night then he's making per show in Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves and probably even Slipknot, since he wasn't an original member and a salaried player. I have friends who know him and the Gaslight Anthem guys just from being in the same music scene.

I was gonna say Nickelback or something. I looked it up though and it's apparently the Jonas Brothers haha.

Speaking of Nickelback, I was gonna say earlier that I wouldn't be surprised if they played before one of the games in Edmonton. I only think that because they're a huge band local to Canada and they've done NHL events before.

It seems that the acts are often times people are groups who are locals or natives to the locations. I remember some Country acts doing these things before the SCF games in Nashville in 2017 and some Vegas based bands doing it in Vegas during the 2018 SCF and maybe even last year too.

I remember that performance, but I don't know much about Cee Lo Green. I had a girlfriend a few years ago who loved that modern top-40 pop music, so I got familiar with some of the stuff that was really popular between 2018 and 2021.

I regularly get PTSD during Devils home games when they play ''If you don't wanna see me dancing with somebody'' or whatever that song is called by Dua Lipa. That was one of her songs. It was played every game during a stoppage once per night, but I think it was weeded out as of this past season.

Last year’s Grey Cup halftime act: Green Day. I was there:

Damn! Green Day must cost about $1-$2 million to book?

I do believe Green Day did an NHL all star game in the last decade or so?

I know they did a theme song for NBC Wednesday night hockey/Wednesday night rivalry about 8 or 10 years ago, but it only lasted one season I think?

I figured Jonas brothers were a tie in because from Jersey. Still decently relevant I would say the Jersey boys for the Yankee stadium game that was dreadful

It’s funny to me that the people responsible for the “cheating” are the ones trying to fix it. Still it needs to be done

That should drive the price down

I met Cee Lo at a chain sports bar in the suburbs once. His wife prayed for my unborn child.

It wasn’t that one. I think it may have either been specifically recoded for the NBC hockey broadcast or maybe it was a song off one of their newer albums. I honestly can’t think of many songs I know by them that are any newer than the mid 90s. I’ve heard some of them, but don’t particularly remember many of them.

I don’t understand what this list is. The watermark is unreadable (to me) and they don’t say where it’s from.

I will point out we won the last best logo poll on HFBoards. THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN. link

OK, before posting I tracked down the source and… it’s some random guy (surprise!). That random guy also made this list.
