They had ties with no OTOilers with a franchise-record 11th straight win.
Hard to believe Gretzky’s Oilers never reeled of as big a number.
They had ties with no OT
It was more stratified with have and have nots, a lot of bad teams but a lot of really good teams as wellThey also had like 7 HoFs on that team. They shouldn't have been tying anyone either.
The NHL brought in 5 minute OT for the regular season in 1983/84, which was the season the Oilers won their 1st of 4 Cups with Gretzky. I get what you are saying about ties and your overall point stands since 5 minutes of 5 on 5 OT still resulted in a lot of ties. But they did have OT during the dynasty. They had ties with no OT
That was a horrible decision the moment it was even brought up for consideration. I never understood letting a better and cheaper version of Krug go just to bring in the older, worse and more expensive player.Don’t look know but Dunn has more points than everyone on our team not named Thomas. That certainly stings.
I almost threw my 'phone when I saw the Krug signing. I was so furious. That was a horrible decision the moment it was even brought up for consideration. I never understood letting a better and cheaper version of Krug go just to bring in the older, worse and more expensive player.
They still had ties, games didn't end in a shootout. And their OTs were 5-on-5. Edmonton has 2 OT wins and a SO win in this 11-game run, and one of those OT wins was on the power play. The NHL brought in 5 minute OT for the regular season in 1983/84, which was the season the Oilers won their 1st of 4 Cups with Gretzky. At the risk of dragging that topic up yet again: I don't think it was a panic move at all. I think it was a calculated decision by Armstrong, and you can go back to September and October 2019 to see it all coming together.I honestly think it was a rare panic move by Armstrong. If he had just been patient, we would not be in the predicament we are in now.
Not sure why they made the trade they did this past offseason, but I would wager that has not helped.Damn the Kings have been falling. They looked so good for the first 2-3 months but now are clinging on to the 8th spot in the west
PLD is so bad, I'm so freaking ecstatic we didn't touch that trade or contract with a 100 ft pole. Not sure why they made the trade they did this past offseason, but I would wager that has not helped.
Even more ecstatic the Kings are the team that did. Their rebuild was going too well imo. Glad they set themselves back for no reason with PLD.PLD is so bad, I'm so freaking ecstatic we didn't touch that trade or contract with a 100 ft pole.
Let’s just hope Army doesn’t take a cue from Blake’s lauded playbook! LolEven more ecstatic the Kings are the team that did. Their rebuild was going too well imo. Glad they set themselves back for no reason with PLD.
PLD wouldn’t have touched St. Louis with a 100 ft pole either so that was never even a possibility.PLD is so bad, I'm so freaking ecstatic we didn't touch that trade or contract with a 100 ft pole.
Dude has to be one of the worst locker room guys in the whole leaguePLD is so bad, I'm so freaking ecstatic we didn't touch that trade or contract with a 100 ft pole.
At every stop the reaction is always the same. Awful deal for the Kings who were on the cusp of building a deep team with loads of talent.Dude has to be one of the worst locker room guys in the whole league
That came out of left fieldWhoa, Patrick Roy is back as an NHL head coach now! Islanders just made the move.
