I think Tarasenko is to concerned about another injury. Like not actively trying to avoid it but subconsciously it's in his head.

Scratch Devon Toews off our shopping list for the off-season. Just re-signed for another 7 years with the Avs.

$7.25M

That's a great deal for the Avs. I'd have expected them to have to give him the 8th year to keep the AAV under $7.5M. He clearly decided that staying in Colorado was worth leaving some money on the table.

Can someone explain this to me? This is GAA. Did Dallas play more games?

  • Jake Oettinger0.92
  • Jordan Binnington0.93

GAA is a measurement of goals allowed per 60 minutes played, not per games played. When a goalie goes to the bench during a delayed penalty, that time does not count toward their minutes played.

Last night, Binner played 64:50 while Otter played 65:00. That 10 second difference led to a very small difference in GAA. In reality, the numbers are closer if you use another decimal point. Binner's was more like 0.926 while Otters was more like 0.923. One rounds down, the other rounds up when you only use two decimal places.

I didn't remember Binny going to the bench. Thanks.

The Pacific division is hot garbage. Folks thought the Central was bad and the PAC might send five teams to the post-season. They might not deserve three teams the way they’re all playing. Edmonton just lost McDavid for a couple weeks, and they’re in absolute no danger of being buried in the standings despite their horrid start.

Thanks for posting that. Sweet pass. But damn it was sure good to see Vladdy celebrating a goal like that. Hard not to root for Ottawa to put something together.
I hopped on the Sens bandwagon early last season. Love their physical play. Brady is the perfect captain for that team who now has a very strong defensive unit with Chabot, Chychrun, Sanderson, Zub, etc.

They're going to need a goalie though. Can't see Korpisalo being the guy.

I think the Sens are a playoff team this season.

Totally agree, I find myself watching them a lot. They play with real fire and passion, and have a great core of young players.

That is exactly the type of team I want our future core to resemble.
