Blake been a fairly crappy gm, but I applaud him for this deal. He realized original PLD deal was a mistake and he got out of that contract with a lot less damage than he might have had if he waited another year to see if they could make it work. Even if Kuemper is done, which he may be, DK contract is far more managable than one he shipped out. This PLD trade is a pretty hilarious circus. Do they give up a haul to get him, sign him to a huge extension, and then trade him away a year later for a mid level goalie.
Not a great look for Blake.
Islanders for Pageau? We need more trades like this. Cap dumps for cap dumps. Ok so who wants Krug now?
I think you're being exceptionally generous toward Blake.Blake been a fairly crappy gm, but I applaud him for this deal. Of course, if PLD rebounds in Washington, as I expect he might, then Blake will own that he overpaid for PLD, couldn’t figure out how to use him, and then gave him away to star in DC. Which brings us back to Blake us a crappy gm who did this all to himself.
Considering I said he was a crappy gm who did this to himself, it shows how awful he is that you not unreasonably deem that generous.I think you're being exceptionally generous toward Blake.
The trade with Winnipeg was already bad, the PLD extension terrible and now this?
Kupari might be a dud, but Iafallo is an awesome team player and the proverbial glue-type locker room guy. Vilardi is exactly the type of secondary scoring any teams needs and the 2nd rounder for this year is Montreal's at #37. For PLD, a malcontent who doesn't give a shit.
It was either get rid of PLD without a buyout or you're done.
My point is that Blake realized nothing. He was forced to do this, or else.Considering I said he was a crappy gm who did this to himself, it shows how awful he is that you not unreasonably deem that generous.
Im not sure Army doesnt want to confess he has made mistake with Krug.We need more trades like this. Cap dumps for cap dumps. Ok so who wants Krug now?

He already admitted his mistake when he tried to trade him last summerIm not sure Army doesnt want to confess he has made mistake with Krug.
So he will plays out his contract.
I view that is good for Blues, keep shitty players. More Krug, Faulk type of dmens and we will eventually be lottery team possibility to get #1 pick.
Only way out of this shithole nowhwreland 'pretender'.
Zackly! We don't need a Truth and Reconciliation Council, unless Lord Army (GM in Perpetuity) leads The Council thereby avoiding direct responsibility. It's all worked out.He already admitted his mistake when he tried to trade him last summer
Excellent return. Darn it, I wanted Bahl. Not a bad return for the Flames
We need more trades like this. Cap dumps for cap dumps. Ok so who wants Krug now?
Exactly. You know how much it costs to waive someone? Nothing. Nothing to lose by trying. lol. I guess DA would be throwing away some value as he did have someone on the hook to trade last year but in the grand scheme of things... I'd be ok with a waiver dump. Does that circumvent the no trade clause of a player?Maybe we should try to waive him first, hoping Grier is still on whatever he was on while claiming Goodrow.
No, wouldn’t violate the NTC. That’s quite literally the difference between a NTC and NMC. A NTC covers, as the name would suggest, only covers trades. A NMC covers all movements, ie. includes waivers.Exactly. You know how much it costs to waive someone? Nothing. Nothing to lose by trying. lol. I'm so excited for our 2d overall pick, our 5th overall pick and our 10th overall pick so that we can copy LA. Doug actually said the Blues were going to copy LA and also keep trying to make the playoffs. So silly. That is why he had to go, not a straight shooterRemember when the Blues were pointing to LA as an example of the model to follow?
Being stubborn about not cutting bait would look worse. This PLD trade is a pretty hilarious circus. Do they give up a haul to get him, sign him to a huge extension, and then trade him away a year later for a mid level goalie.

I disagree about this being circumvention. Nothing in a not trade clause says you can’t be waived. So that always the risk the player takes in refusing a trade. That could quite literally be what happened to Goodrow. It is rumored that Goodrow used his NTC not to be traded to SJ. So the Rangers waived him and SJ claimed him anyway.
Was this the plan all along? If so it's circumvention. But there is probably no way to prove it, so NYR/SJ will get away with it.
Totally agree. It’s just a terrible decision all around from the initial acqusition to now.Being stubborn about not cutting bait would look worse.
