Jay Bouwmeester collapsed on the bench during the Blues game and some reports they had to use a defibrillator on him. Not going to post it but it’s all over Twitter
Last few reports are saying he’s awake and being taken to the hospital

Yeah, that video.... jeez, I hope he's okay. Twitter is saying he's conscious and responsive but still it was a scary moment.

A bit eerie that it happened after the Pronger jersey retirement announcement in that his heart stopped after taking a slap shot to the chest during his Blues years. Glad to hear JBo is alright, and we have plenty of dmen to spare if he needs to be replaced.

Thankfully Guerin isn't the GM here, it would have provoked an "I quit" avalanche of players complete with a Jersey hand-ins on his desk a la the movie Rudy.

They kinda almost have to considering they have guys they want to bring back and have like .50¢ in cap. I'm convinced Dahlin and Eichel are the only ones they want to bring back.

Will fix everything
- Network hires guy because he says outrageous things.
- Guy says outrageous thing.
- Network fires guy they hired to say outrageous things for saying outrageous thing.

Makes perfect sense to me.

You can take the boy out of the hockey locker room but...

Eh, it's one things delivering hot takes, its another to harass a coworker. He went on a popular podcast and talked about how much he wanted to have a threesome with kathyrn tappen.

I can't imagine if anyone went on a widely listened to podcast and pined for a threesome with a coworker by name, you'd have a job once the complaint was filed.

Kypper isn't always the best source, but I would imagine that sound you hear off in the distance is David Poile's fanny clenching up and creating industrial diamonds.

Right? What's the cap hit if he retires elsewhere? A billion?

Ten to one odds the shadiest deal in nhl history happens if it really is a career ender. Weber back to Nashville for a first or whatever montreal desires.

Depends on when he retires. Nashville had about $24M in cap savings, so that number would be divided by the number of seasons remaining on the contract. If he retires before this season, it'd be around $4M for the next six seasons. If he retires before the final year of the deal, it's a $24M hit for that one season.

But let's be honest, the precedent has been set with the Hossa and Zetterberg nonsense. This chicken is not coming home to roost. Weber will do them a solid, won't retire, and will sit on some team's LTIR until the contract is over.
