Pens pay for the term. Zucker has three years left and that gives them a speed guy to compliment Sid and Geno.

I'm interested to see if this shakes any other teams into early action. Columbus could use some help with their injuries. Same with Carolina. Florida has been shopping, might want to push things along to make sure they are keeping pace. This is actually a good thing for Buffalo since it seems like most of the shopping is for defensemen right now, per the Canadian Hockey Punditry.

Oh no, we're going to trade Pilut, aren't we.

Quinn Hughes is so much fun to watch. He remains my favorite non-Rasmi from the 2018 draft. He has his fourth 3-assist game of the season tonight, tying him for the record for most as a rookie defenseman with some guy named Orr.

And on the other side of the ice, the Preds are a mess.

That Zucker deal really sets the trade bar at an uncomfortably high level.
Even though the media seems to think Botterill HAS TO do something about his top 6 because fans are demanding it, the likelier scenario is they are selling a defenseman with term (Risto/Montour). In that sense, the Zucker deal should mean a pretty good return.

Are we talking a good return from our point of view or Jason Botterill's point of view?

I don't see any team giving more for Risto/Montour now than in the summer.

Only guys I expect should be moved are pending UFAs.

Both WPG and COL both looking like dance partners right now for a D. For one, a long-term fix that can help out this years run would be a cherry on top.
