Not outlandishly expensive either. Get some jam in Clifford too. Not sure he's an NHL regular anymore, but he's a fine 13th forward who can play 4th line. Might get regular run in the playoffs on that charmin-soft team.

A lot of it depends on the condition of the 3rd too.

Very true. And the people talking about giving up Kapanen or Johnsson for a backup goalie were talking out of their rear ends. Backup goalies aren't worth THAT much. Those guys should return a serviceable-or-better NHL-level defenseman.

It's refreshing to see a GM watch their team lay some eggs and then go out and try to find a solution all while having the lowest amount of cap space in the league.

Clifford for Moore is a push. Maybe slightly in favor of LA since Moore may have some untapped potential to his game.

Clifford is on the decline. Players of his skillset don't last long past 30. Sandpaper in the line-up was a huge need, so I understand why Dubas targeted Clifford, but it's a bandaid on a gaping wound. Still, cant go wrong with a tough 4th liner who's going to put up 20(ish) points this year.

Two 3rds for Campbell is a bit pricey, but it was a huge need. It may save their season if he's a competent back-up.

Overall, LA got a get haul, but I like the trade for both teams.

Pens pay for the term. Zucker has three years left and that gives them a speed guy to compliment Sid and Geno.

I'm interested to see if this shakes any other teams into early action. Columbus could use some help with their injuries. Same with Carolina. Florida has been shopping, might want to push things along to make sure they are keeping pace. This is actually a good thing for Buffalo since it seems like most of the shopping is for defensemen right now, per the Canadian Hockey Punditry.
