Also, Montreal fans can be difficult but I can respect what the organization represents.

I hate the Penguins team, but their fans have been nothing but respectful in playoff matchups.

Washington has a combination of players I hate and fans who whine in my ear about how they should have won every series we played.

New Jersey has the unholy trinity of f***ed up players, fans I can't stand, and an organization I have zero respect for.

It’s all about the Rangers. Do not understand fans who focus their fandom more into hatred of the other team than love of their own.

From a Rangers perspective, we want Tampa and Pitt to win to improve our picks. Yeah, I don’t much like Pitt at all, but it’s an easy call to make.

Montreal- Fans are ok in my dealings with them but #RegionalDraft and the whole having to hire a francophone in the modern age is dumb, dumb, dumb.

Penguins-"We're so blue collar...the Pittsburgh way...this is how America should be....did I mention how we're so blue collar?"

Washington-How can you hate OV or Oshie? Also, half their arena is full of the other team's fans all regular season until the bandwagoners from Bethesda and Chevy Chase come out for the postseason "Hey, so is Kolzig still our goalie?"

Devils-The "heel" Devils were Lou Lamariello, now they're just some team with a bunch of our old friends (Boyle, Grabner, Moore), random parts, and high draft picks who play over the GWB. Never had an issue with Devils fans. New Jersey is cool. One of only three places in the Tri State Area that heavy metal is still popular (NJ/LI/ 1/10th of BK). The Misfits. Dingbatz. Wellmont Theater. Rut Hut. Girls who actually like cool music :)

Yes, amen to this. I am sick of the matchups that these new divisional system has created. Bogus all around.

Tried out for NJD before this season for emergency backup role. Honestly a low key good place to be.

Well, the org I mean. TBH Newark isn't even that terrible anymore overall. Most of the city is still sketchy outside of the Rock and NJPAC but it is not nearly as bad at 6-7 years ago

Why are we rooting for washington? Isn't it in OUR best interest for all the division winners to lose minus the Lightning???
This way we get a 24 overall vs lets say a 27-31? That could be big difference in getting someone like Kaut or Bokk and not getting them.
I mean for most of the year many of us were trying to tank just to move up a slot or two (I know thats top 10 vs pick in 20's) so I would think at this point we should root for Pitt to win as much as that pains me.

They won't because for the most part the teams in the West would prefer to stay in their own time zones and close to their opponents. I know sometimes that doesn't always happen because of the WC but that was another big reason for the format change.
