That hit was borderline in my opinion, so lets agree to disagree mildly on the hit itself. That said:

I will agree it wasn't near his worst. I made my strong opinion based on his volume of work. He is a guy that skates around as fast as he can looking for kill shots. There are probably 400 players in the NHL that could do the same very easily if they wanted but don't. I wonder why.

FYI, we agree more than anything and I really didn't opine on his latest hit.

It would be lovely to see every series in round 2 to go 7 games. I say 3 series probably go 7

You are correct. Speaking of hits, Stralman laying out Chara last night was pretty great. Dude is a very underrated hitter.

You didn't see the NHL's video on this? It showed it from a completely different angle and he gets all head with his shoulder. It's very much worth watching from beginning to end. They did their homework on this one. That was very much a predatory hit.

you hear the news from you other HF posters and “Rangers fans”..... Girardi and Callahan are done. Plus they weren’t that great as Rangers it was just their usage that made them look good :ha::help::thumbu:

Me too. But the NHL has become a microcosm of our modern day society. You know what? Maybe I’ll grab some friends and go protest down in Manhattan since I’m unhappy with the decision. We can block traffic, get on the news, vape some THC and then steal some shoes and liquor. Maybe some electronics too. Good times to be alive in NY

Did you watch the DoPS video? It was absolutely a dirty hit. Shoulder right into the jaw. Which concussed and broke his jaw. That doesn't happen from a solid shoulder to shoulder check.

DoPS had an angle that NBC did not. Shoulder to jaw.

Wilson suspended three games, out for Capitals in Game 4

On the live game angle, it kind of looks like shoulder to shoulder, but really what I think is happening is that ZAR's shoulder is actually hitting Wilson's chest because Wilson is pivoting his shoulder to deliver the hit.

Well both players are now past their prime but both were huge players for the Rangers while they were her. TB is getting solid contributions from both in their quest for the cup. I'm definitely rooting for Dan a lot. He was such a stand up guy as a Ranger. If Dan wins I expect 85% of ranger fans will be very happy for him.
 
The NHL have turned into a bunch of wusses. Everyone are wusses. No one can just "suck it up" anymore.

Listen while I get up on my internet soapbox and complain how victimized I am by it all.
