Your tendency to attack other teams I watch and unrelated things I said 12-18 months ago speaks to the usual quality of your arguments.

It's hard to forget some of the rubbish you post.

Just give Lias a chance. Don't write him off just like that. I'm done on this topic.

The New York Rangers are well beyond being given a chance. Our fans have the right to be skeptical about literally everything this team does.

Johansen gets crap for not being a real first line center on the boards but he had 13 poitns in 14 playoff games last year and already has 4 goals. I'll take that on my team.

And if you want to talk about a successful era of Rangers hockey, you're looking for 08-13, when we slowly but steadily built what should have been a long-term contender.

We spent most of 12-16 (often considered a golden age) misidentifying and tearing down everything that team did well.

God, imagine if a team did that for 60 minutes!

Most people define success by results and not by personal definitions of proper process.

The failure of the window is partially bad luck and partially process. And the failure was that the rebuild that occurred from 2005-2010 didn’t garner two or even one high end offensive forwards. Developing two high end offensive forwards means only one of the Richards signing, Nash trade, or MSL trade happens. If they don’t need to sign Richards, they can put that money somewhere else. If they don’t need to trade for Nash, they keep their forward depth and keep that first. If they don’t need to trade from MSL, they keep two first round picks and still have Callahan. And still, even if they only developed one high end offensive forward, only making two of those moves and not three has a big impact.

The failure was partially bad luck and partially due to organizational decisions, including the decision to try to compete while keeping and developing their young assets.

Fantastic pick.

We should be doing that with every pick.

You can't do that with every pick. Those picks are high risk high reward. It's hard to win those lottery tickets, and if you just keep gambling there is a chance you lose out on the majority of those lotto tickets

It has nothing to do with Andersson and everything to do with philosophy.

I've heard virtually nothing from Gorton or Dolan that I agree with.

But this rebuild will be great because it's our rebuild the Rangers are the face of success in this sport.

If it really was a mistake, then they won't make a pick like that again. Andersson will still be a 60 point Top 6 player.

We're still looking at forward and ignoring that defense has been the problem since 2005.

The Jagr teams missed out on a Cup/SCF because they didn't have a legit top pairing defensemen.

In 2012, we acquired two by f***ing accident and now they're both off the team.

This. All of this.

Gorton's "character" proclamations have me petrified about us trading up for Tkachuk even if an uber-skilled prospect like Boqvist, Hughes, or Wahlstrom is on the board that can actually give us some elite talent. Tkachuk had a great U-20 tournament but I was not impressed with him otherwise. He can be a very unique-player, but everything is going to have to break right for him to become an elite player.

Boqvist, Hughes, and Wahlstrom just have skills that can't be taught. I want one of them if Zadina is off the board.

What if Gorton want's to move up.... and Not use the 8th Overall pick to move up?

Perhaps they want to do something like TB 1st + Boston 1st + NYR 2nd + Roster Player to grab someone's top 8 pick?
