Ehrhoff did us a favor today, scoring with less than a minute to go to keep Carolina from getting any points.

Ville Leino is honestly one of the worst players in the league. Probably the softest player on the puck anyway. He sucks.

taking contracts into account, he is the worst imo.

weiss at least has lot better track record of producing and clarkson can at least bring something other than scoring. he's also the best water bottle police in the league.

He is easily the worst. That contract of his may be one of the worst deals ever handed out.

Pretty good rumble just went on in the Canes-Stars game after the Canes goalie got knocked over.

I think Jonathan Toews is one of the most overrated players in hockey right now.

To hear from Blackhawks fans how he apparently singehandedly shuts down his opponents is grating. Yeah, I'm sure it doesn't hurt to have some of the best puck-possession players like Keith and Hossa and Kane at your disposal. Sure, he has done well in winning but really? In the same conversation as Crosby? I hate the guy but I can't deny what kind of a player he is.

Makes me actually hope Crosby puts up a 10 spot on them tomorrow and Toews gets manhandled.

toews is nowehere near as good a player as crosby but quite frankly not one other nhl player even sniffs sidneys jockstrap

toews is a very very good allround player and is easily among the top 10-15 in the world

The issue is the whole "Hall of Fame" lock argument because he has two gold medals and two Stanley Cups at the age of 25 and apparently he has "come out on top" against every top line he has played. Yeah, sure doesn't hurt to have one of the best top lines in the league and have some pretty ridiculous defensive pairs to back you up on a regular basis.

It's like when Chara won the Norris over Lidstrom because he was so defensively sound, yet had the Vezina winner behind him every night. No I don't think the difference between Chara and Lidstrom statistically was so great that it made up for the fact Chara had a handicap with the goaltending difference.

I won't deny is a great player, but I think he is overrated because most, if not all, team contributions fall on his shoulders when they succeed, and to other teammates when they fail.

You and I agree. He has the best wingers in the NHL, a top five defenseman or so, and depth.

If you compare him straight up 1 on 1, how does he match at the "forward" position against

Pavel Datsyuk
Henrik Zetterberg
Ryan Getzlaf
Anze Kopitar
Sidney Crosby
Steven Stamkos
Martin St. Louis
Evgeni Malkin
John Tavares
Alex Ovechkin
Gustav Nyquist
Claude Giroux
Tomas Tatar

Then you factor in some other positions, it's tricky. I really believe the "winning" argument is overrated in hockey.

We would just have Ericsson go up to Roussel and say " I would really appreciate it if you didnt do that anymore"

Do we really have to have another "toughness" discussion? I thought that crap died with the "Pro-Hudler/Anti-Hudler" shenanigans we had back in the day.

Putting this here, the Mooseheads will deliver an absolute blow out tonight. Predicting it now. Possibly double digit goals.

I'm not sure whether to like the Blues now, or hate them.

Here's hoping Ryan Miller gets his first cup, even if it is on the Blues. Will definitely be watching them in the future.
