Around The NHL #13

Being 31 and on an expiring contract it's in Klingberg's best interest to play and play well. He's been out since the 11th...LTIR is probably legit.

He also sat out a game weeks ago and missed chance to play in his native Sweden in Global Series. And multiple reporters on trip have gone on record that his issues are legit as they have seen his struggles.

Imma guess Campbell and picks for Perry and Mrazek.

Gets Edmonton out of a cap jam and gets Holland his former goalie, which is about the extent of his creative thinking.
Good enough guess, looks like a trade situation in some form, to me.

Friedman is talking about how the Oilers don’t want to make a move because they don’t want to wreck their future.

Like, what? Could their future even possibly be worse than the current state of affairs?

Yeah, why worry about winning as much as possible in the present while you have the new version or Sid/Geno? Why would you shove all your chips in the middle every year when you have those two guys, seems crazy. I’d rather wait and keep building through the draft and maybe win a Cup when they’re like 36 years old…much better plan. Sarcasm off.

Can’t wait for Uncle Gary to go away. Just as soon as our arena is done. This season has been a disaster for the NHL.

I dare them to fine him.
Uncle Gary is mouthpiece, you can bet your ass a lot of this stuff is being owner driven!

The Oilers aren't as bad as their record, but they have dug themselves a hole. This year Skinner is as bad as Veggie. I think the Oilers thinking was that Skinner would be as good as last year, if not better, just like us thinking Veggie would be as good as last year.

Fleury’s agent of course is Alan Walsh.

He had some choice words about it.
We had none of this shit years ago, so why now? Why can't we all keep our beliefs and traditions or whatever to our self? Why try to make headlines. Sorry, the players should come to work and do what they are paid for, and that is play hockey. They are employee's. If they don't want to follow the rules, quit. You would think Fluery would be more focused on his shit play this year rather than celebrating his wife's heritage in front of fans. He can celebrate that at his home, with his and hers family.

That's what it is, stuff. Stupid stuff many players are trying to get away with.

His wife's heritage doesn't seem stupid to me.
...and I'm sure that he doesn't force it upon anybody. I never thought that sharing other people's heritage was a bad thing, and I actually enjoy it. IMO, it's a lot different for individuals embracing such standards than league wide which is a turn off. Also there is a difference between heritage vs ideology.
