I have a different take. Let sports stay away from making empty gestures. The leagues should encourage gay players, staff and owners to simply be open about it rather than plaster rainbows on warm up sweaters.

Hill's value might never be higher than now so might as well try and cash in. Shouldn't he ask for longer term?

 
I think I’d rather our two guys for 5 mil then just Hill for 5 mil

What happened to Lehner in Vegas? Is he totally done?

Lehner has “issues”.

Vegas has been a goalie-go-round but the best investment they made was getting Sean Burke to come back to coaching goalies.

We have the Blackhawks partially
To thank for BA deciding to stop taking on boat anchors for picks. These idiots have driven down the prices so badly and totally wrecked the market that BA built All by himself.

I know a lot of people were saying "tearing down is the easy part" in regards to not judging BA yet. But apparently not that easy. Chicago and Philadelphia both seem to be doing an amateurish job of it. Not maximizing value at all despite having more money and flexibility to work with than we do. Who knows, maybe the restrictions breed efficiency in approach.

I think CHI should have gotten something back, but not much more than a 3rd. Hall doesn't have negative value like Nemeth, or have the same question marks that even Gostisbehere had. And they could still trade Hall now or at the deadline to recoup some value.

But this isn't the first dump Chicago took on for pennies. The others were more egregious

Watching the NHL awards and kinda regretting the 45 minutes I've wasted on this.

The actual award winners are whatever, but lowlight of the evening is Zach Whitecloud + VGK GM helping some country music singer drink beer out of the Stanley Cup / spill it all over the stage. They then immediately cut to the Hart Trophy finalists, including Matthew Tkachuk and his cracked sternum absolutely not smiling. ****ing cringe.
