Put me in loving the Oilers implode category. Great fun for us that remember the 80’s well.
How can you feel bad for a franchise that has had probably the 2 greatest players of all time.
I live in Alberta and that is too true. Sadly!I am sure they will be fine driving to the patch in their lifted trucks with the f*** TRUDEAU stickers plastered on it
Wrong!!!That sounds more like Calgary fans. I think Edmonton is a pretty liberal/progressive city so unlikely to have so many of the gas-guzzling trucks with big carbon footprint or the stickers expressing their lack of love for our Prime Minister.
All that said, I'm not sad to see the Oilers imploding, mostly because of all the insane tire pumping by the media ("Cup Favourites") and concomitant disrespect for the Jets. Granted this isn't the Oilers' fans' fault but still not sad.
Also they have Evander Kane. I will enjoy maximum schadenfreude over any team with him on their roster suffering. And no, that has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, but with the content of his character which we've seen lots of evidence of.
Wrong about Edmonton being more "progressive" than Calgary? Voting-wise, at least, Edmonton seems pretty progressive: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calg...-most-conservative-most-progressive-1.6852299I live in Alberta and that is too true. Sadly!

Right about Evander, wrong about lack of Jacked up trucks and Fack Trudeau stickers in EdmontonWrong about Edmonton being more "progressive" than Calgary? Voting-wise, at least, Edmonton seems pretty progressive: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calg...-most-conservative-most-progressive-1.6852299
Or wrong about Evander Kane being an individual of poor character?
At least Oiler fans are right about something then!I am sure they will be fine driving to the patch in their lifted trucks with the f*** TRUDEAU stickers plastered on it
Yeah, I've lived in both cities (albeit a long time ago). I found Edmonton more like Winnipeg in terms of being liberal, the arts etc. Calgary was full cowpokeWrong about Edmonton being more "progressive" than Calgary? I carried a hatred against St. Louis for a long time due to Housley poaching/signing, (Emerson and Quintel as compensation)Put me in loving the Oilers implode category. Great fun for us that remember the 80’s well.

Agreed. Dobson is significantly better and much more balanced of a defender. Just another botched high pick by them.
Not like it was a surprise either. Dobson was a much more rounded prospect. Now just do I am not being Mr revisionist Bouchard was a solid pick at the time it’s just I had Dobson at least 5 spots ahead personally. I loved him in his draft season.
No thanks. So should we look at Zadorov? 6'6" that's a pretty big d-man and only 28. Stanley + for Zadorov?
Right about Evander, wrong about lack of Jacked up trucks and Fack Trudeau stickers in Edmonton
