I am sure they will be fine driving to the patch in their lifted trucks with the f*** TRUDEAU stickers plastered on it
I live in Alberta and that is too true. Sadly!

That sounds more like Calgary fans. I think Edmonton is a pretty liberal/progressive city so unlikely to have so many of the gas-guzzling trucks with big carbon footprint or the stickers expressing their lack of love for our Prime Minister.

All that said, I'm not sad to see the Oilers imploding, mostly because of all the insane tire pumping by the media ("Cup Favourites") and concomitant disrespect for the Jets. Granted this isn't the Oilers' fans' fault but still not sad.

Also they have Evander Kane. I will enjoy maximum schadenfreude over any team with him on their roster suffering. And no, that has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, but with the content of his character which we've seen lots of evidence of.
Wrong!!!

Another "It was 4-1" game for the leafs but this time they atleast pull off the win in the shootout.

I don’t mind crapping all over the Oilers - they deserve it - but let’s be careful about biting the hand that feeds us. Alberta continues to transfer us billions of $’s in equalization payments and has been doing so for decades.
You can call them rednecks all you want, but they’re footing a lot of our bills.

Agreed. Dobson is significantly better and much more balanced of a defender. Just another botched high pick by them.

Not like it was a surprise either. Dobson was a much more rounded prospect. Now just do I am not being Mr revisionist Bouchard was a solid pick at the time it’s just I had Dobson at least 5 spots ahead personally. I loved him in his draft season.

Same. I had him as a top 5 pick. I didn't mind Bouchard as well but felt he was more one dimensional and the Oilers really didn't need more of that with Nurse already on their dcore. For the record I think Bouchard would look better on a team that was more balanced. He could do his puck moving and PP but he'd have proper insulation to mitigate against his weaknesses.

I guess that explains their team though. They have pretty much gone for the all out offense, defense be damned route. Even the best offensive teams that have won could also defend well when needed(Tampa, Chicago and Pittsburgh).

My comprehension of the value added in copulation stickers on lifted vehicles is limited. Maybe it provides an climatic emotional/physiological assist for the pilot so that they might blast through a snow drift with a great show of agility?

Straight to the washer to sort out the gitch, though, once one returns home.

Every goalie looks like crap in Edmonton. Eventually ppl will realize it's not the goaltending there and see it's just a lack of defensive commitment by the entire team

You can have 2 superstar forwards but if they ain't committed to D then this is what you get.

Oilers need a legit shakeup. Drai or McDavid needs to go for them to create a team, cuz right now it's 2 guys plus a bunch of scrubs
