Still like their chances a heck of a lot more than the Jets.

Avalanche will find a way to outscore their goaltending inconsistencies all the way to winning the Stanley Cup.
That goes without saying they have a better chance the Jets. But I don't see them getting past a team like Dallas, if they give up big leads early in a game.

I'd say a matchup with Colorado in round 1 looks likely and the next 7 games will just be deciding home ice.
Sportsclubstats has it at 74%, the highest likelihood of any 1st round matchup in the league

68% chance they finish 2nd and 74% chance that we finish 3rd but of course those numbers can take wild swings at this time of year on a night where we win and they lose. We're only 4 points back

And Maurice's Panthers have lost 8 of 10
Yeah, the only playoff bound team that has been worse than the Jets in the last 10. A bad time to play like suck.

I still think that this could be Maurice's and the Panthers' year. Last year's somewhat lucky run (Bob) gave them a lot of important playoff experience. If goaltending doesn't shit the bed in one of their series, they have a good chance.

East should win it this year. Far easier conference.

These other contenders stumbling makes me feel much better

I don't cheer for any team other than the Jets, but I am hoping they make it to the final.

The NHL is a grind and everyone will have their ebbs and flows. The team that times their hot/lucky streak in May June usually comes out on top.

When it looked like Nashville was going to reel us in because of a combination of them not losing and us not winning I mentioned that the clock will strike midnight at some point for them and it has.

Maybe this is the season the Jets get hot again at the right time. Lord knows we are in a incredibly competitive group in the Central and any one of the teams will need good fortune.

Trouble is that Bob is looking very mortal heading into the playoffs.... and Vas is finally hitting stride - I don't see any easy playoff series in the East this year...

As it stands, it's looking like DAL Vs LAK first round would be possible, so even if we beat Colorado isn't there a chance we would play Dallas in the second round?
