avs about to lose in regulation so 1 point back with for in hand
Dallas is continuing to pack on the points with their extra games played, but if we finish out of first I'd much rather play the Avs in round 1 so that's fine with meavs about to lose in regulation so 1 point back with for in hand
The empty net was a Vezina candidate last night against usSo strange watching highlights from other games in the NHL where players skate in over the blue line and take a casual wrister from above the circles and it goes into the net. Whereas for the Jets somehow the puck finds a way to stay out of the net even after a triple deflection and the subsequent rebound from the blue paint some how misses the net.
Matthews is insane
Dallas showing us how to score goals... Also big years so far from Duchene and Seguin
Are blues a surprise to some ppl? I had them in the PO mix but jw consensus.
He's not overpaid , Marner, Tavares and Rielly are though.Natural hat trick for overpaid Auston Matthews.
Dallas is playing well but we win our games in hand and we are still 1st in the Central. Gotta win the games in hand but i like that we are in control if we win our games.Dallas is continuing to pack on the points with their extra games played, but if we finish out of first I'd much rather play the Avs in round 1 so that's fine with me
He's not overpaid, dude is a great player, but his overall look-it-me energy/vibe/insufferable quotient renders him as a major diva in my humble opinion.Natural hat trick for overpaid Auston Matthews.

Dallas is killing it, 9 goals!! What the hell is in their corn flakes.Dallas is playing well but we win our games in hand and we are still 1st in the Central. Gotta win the games in hand but i like that we are in control if we win our games.
Oilers carry the play but lose to a non-playoff team. Oh look, Skinner finished 1.23 goals below expected (Moneypuck). Who knew that supra-Vezinal goaltending from a sub-.910 was unsustainable?
Agree, Matthews worth every penny. Tavares and Marner are killing that teams cap with their contracts. Nylander wont be overpaid till next year when the extension gets paid. He's not overpaid , Marner, Tavares and Rielly are though.

Rielly makes 7.5 million a season, but agree Schmidt at 5.9 million is too high.Agree, Matthews worth every penny. Tavares and Marner are killing that teams cap with their contracts. Nylander wont be overpaid till next year when the extension gets paid.
Will challenge you on Rielly though. Isn't he making roughly the same money as Schmidt and Pionk? I think Reilly is on a good and fair contract.

I'm not a Leafs fan, but guy is a true NHL star and franchise icon. I think he's paid very well but also appropriately. He's in a rare tier of player IMO.Natural hat trick for overpaid Auston Matthews.
The media love saying core 4 but it’s the core 3 now.
Tavares has 40 points in 51 games and he is not in the same zip code talent wise as the other 3 anymore.
Totally agree, all good reasons to hate Matthews. He's not overpaid, dude is a great player, but his overall look-it-me energy/vibe/insufferable quotient renders him as a major diva in my humble opinion.
All after a Jet has passed it off twice on a 3-0 rush.So strange watching highlights from other games in the NHL where players skate in over the blue line and take a casual wrister from above the circles and it goes into the net. They practice against Hellebuyck. Maybe iron doesn't sharpen iron, but actually makes it cowardly and meek?So strange watching highlights from other games in the NHL where players skate in over the blue line and take a casual wrister from above the circles and it goes into the net.
