Buying out Wheeler was a sound move.
It was. But not sure how this injury vindicated this further? It was a pretty gruesome looking play that no one would be getting up from. Esp a dude as tough as wheeler.

I kinda like Devo.
Solid band, guvnah.

The media love saying core 4 but it’s the core 3 now.

Tavares has 40 points in 51 games and he is not in the same zip code talent wise as the other 3 anymore.
It will be interesting to see what the Leafs do after at the end of next season when Tavares contract expires. Sign him to an extension? If so, how much per season? And will he be a decent second line centre by 2025-26 or will his current downward trajectory accelerate rendering him a middle-6 or bottom 6 forward? Would the Leafs take another shot with Nylander at centre or would they sign/trade for another centre or would one of their prospects like Knies step into the role?

Hard to say, always unpredictable how players age. He has the remainder of this season, then his 2024-25 season under contract. He will be 35 when his next contract starts so we’ll see I guess.

Jagre dropped by the Pens Locker Room recently.

That last photo (with Jagre looking at Sids curve) makes it look like he was on a secret mission to infiltrate the Pens Locker-room and get the secret crosby spice.

Jagre was probably thinking to himself (as he held Crosby's stick), "How does sid continue to do it at his age".... #Southpark #BradySpice

Wonder what inanna and her boyfriend are you to
Let me put your tortured mind at rest.

We went to a movie last night which was terrible. It had a cat as one of the characters but it was still bad. Then we went to Applebee's for a snack and beer because it's fairly quiet. Then we went to his place and did what most young people in their 20s do together, but with one major difference. It's a really sweet and funny difference, but I won't get into it here so as not to offend the hockey purists. Around 4, we dressed and he drove me home and I got my roomie up and organized for her trip to Padre Island.

when looking at scoring by committee or depth scoring

looks like Detroit is this year's Seattle

11 players 10+ goals already.

VAN, DAL, NJD, BUF, COL and LA all have 8-10.

WPG has 6.

One major diff? Nice to see I'm not the only guy in here who gets played.
