This idea that the goalie is somehow separate from the overall quality of the team is a really weird one. Yes, part of the reason that the Jets are doing great is because of Hellebuyck. He's a Vezina level goaltender. Why are people pretending this is a negative?

They should look at statistics before shooting their mouths off, Helly isn't stealing games for us he's just one of the best goalies in the world. You would have thought that the Oilers terrible start this season would make the Oilers fans a little humble but nope its made them even worse. Oh and we didn't need a bunch of 1st overall draft picks to draft our good players either, we did it with actual good scouting.

I don’t really care much about what Oiler fans say about us but whatever they are saying about Helly Jets fans can say about McDavid. He has historically stolen allot of games for them too. One would have to have watched allot of Jets games this season to see the difference between how our team is defending this season vs previous seasons to really ”get us” and I don’t imagine the average fan on other teams has the time nor do they care.

What any other fan base thinks about us is an uncontrollable variable I am learning to not care about.

You'd think the PLD scenario would have taught them something. That fan base is without a doubt the absolute worst. Even my best friend who's a Habs fan is delusional. Everytime he annoys me I just send him the video of Schiefele destroying Evans

Agreed but its them saying that they are the best team in Canada that gets to me . They have played 4 less games than us right now but lets say they win all 4 of those games, they are still 7 points behind us. Ya they are the best team alright, they can go shit in their hats .

Totally agree but McJesus steals them games too, but he's a center and Helly is just a goalie so it doesn't count. I feel stupid myself for just saying that. Toronto and Edmonton fans are just the worst.

They're just repeating easily disproven things as well, then ignoring posts that disprove them.

No, Sean Monahan isn't good defensively. He's awful.

No, the fact that Montreal has pushed him out on the PK doesn't mean he can actually play on the PK. He's one of the worst forwards in the league at it.

No, the reason he's not scoring isn't because his line mates are bringing him down. His common line mates overwhelmingly do better away from him than he does away from them.

He's been good on the PP this season, after being bad at it last season, and is good at face-offs and apparently in the shootout.

It's just going in circles, and the people who bring those points up refuse to engage with any post that shows that they're wrong. So yes, I suppose it is very similar to misinformation campaigns online.
