Hartman now trying to weasel his way out.

Ryan Hartman denied on Thursday night that during a New Year’s Eve matinee, he told Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti he intentionally high-sticked him in the face as payback for Brenden Dillon injuring Minnesota Wild star Kirill Kaprizov an afternoon earlier with a cross-check to the lower back.

The Wild veteran forward also insinuated that Perfetti tried to bait him throughout that game into admitting he did so because he was wearing a microphone for a future Jets social media video. In the NHL, if a player is mic’d up, players on the opposing team are informed with a note on their locker room whiteboard.

“It’s written on the wall that he’s wearing a mic,” Hartman told The Athletic after Thursday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. “I know he’s wearing a mic all game. He comes up to me multiple times and asks me if I did it on purpose. And finally, all I told him was, ‘I’m not gonna say it wasn’t on purpose.’

“So I didn’t tell him, ‘Hey, I did that on purpose.’ He kept coming up to me, and I finally said, ‘I’m not gonna say it wasn’t on purpose.’ That was the extent of it.”

I don't think Hartman has the mental firepower to run with Perfecto.

Perfetti, “Hartman told me it was on purpose.”
Hartman, “I didn’t say that”
The Jets “We have it on tape, can we release it?”
The Wild, “Absolutely not!”

Does that about cover it?

The sack of shit also said that last years dirty as f**k hit on Ehlers was a "clean" hit and it was in retaliation for Ehlers "running" Kaprizov?? And i love how he calls the Ehlers hit clean right after saying "on my Ehlers suspension...." lol. What kind of fantasy world does this human douche live in?!?

Big brain Hartman not quite understanding how double negatives work.

This is his job, his role, what he’s paid to do. Be a pest, $hit disturber, piss off other team and their fans. He feeds off this. This is what he wants. There are many players like this around the league that are paid to do this. Fans take it personal, he’s trolling them.
I don’t care what he says. The part I don’t like is his intent to injure players. They need to up fines to 250k to maybe teach them a lesson more. 4K is a joke. He’ll do it again. League allows this. Nhlpa protect players pocket books by not upping fines, meanwhile they forget to protect their players health.

His last 5 supplemental disciplines have been as a repeat offender and despite that the punishment was a fine instead of a suspension. The DoPS enables this behavior.

Hopefully he retires.

Like I said.... I see a game in the bigs for Jeffrey viel coming in February...

Dops always has a clear message... no retribution fighting but guys can still go after stars as long as they are not in favored markets

When questioned about the perfetti hit Hartman responded

'Intentional? Are any of our actions truly intentional or simply a culmination of previous rewards or punishments for past behaviors - which they in themselves may have been impacted by our impressions in the womb or perhaps our ancestors experiences themselves. I guess it depends if you are a follower of Nietsche or Plato... both of whom presented their own paradoxes.'

Isn’t Stanley a better option than Viel? I wouldn’t mind seeing what Viel can do. Maybe Bauer can be brought up as well.

Bauer Stanley and Viel could play as a fourth line to start the game.
