This is my experience in the Twin Cities in every sport I've attended - hockey, football, basketball, baseball. Fans are very intelligent and considerate of visiting fans. Differing opinions are welcome and treated respectfully, even when the home team loses.
I've had precisely the same experience. St. Paul/Minny feels like the Peg (on steroids with reference to population) with respect to parallel attitudes in sports fans that I rubbed shoulders with.

The whole narrative from Minny fans is weird. I mean, I can see why Habs fans hate the Jets and Scheifele specifically, but both Kaprizov plays where he got hurt are such...nothing plays. To suggest he is being targeted would suggest the Jets are shit at targetting because there is literally nothing there.

Sportnets was an early Soviet satellite, was it not?
Actually she put them both in their place.
She flustered them when she asked Jamal if he’d be okay with his son taking a deliberate high stick to the face in retaliation for something he had no involvement in.
Jamal stuttered like a 2 stroke engine with bad fuel.
Well I’m , he’s gotta , um , learn derp derp.
Yes ,she was emotional but it was more incredulous tone to their answers.

Jamal sucked on the Chicago broadcast and sucks even more on $N, actually the whole panel can go and they could just show highlights of the nights games on a loop with a generic voice and it would be more entertaining.
He's a pretty awful commentator also, they've had him on a few Jets games on Monday night hockey. Always sounds nervous and tongue tied.

Until we can beat the Stars and F*** Vegas we can't be considered #1. The Jets are on a pretty good heater atm lets see if they can continue their winning ways on this road trip. We are definitely an upper tier team but there is still a lot of the season left.
Exactly. While this is a feel good story, they haven’t accomplished anything. True test starts at game 83.

My fear is they’re peaking too early.

Are you serious! Peaking to early? Lol
Give me a break, typical fragile Winnipeg sports fan fodder. We aren’t “peaking” at all we are playing a consistent brand of hockey. We hope this continues. I think the Jets have proved they can be consistent this year.

Whole heartedly agree. Peaking would include their special teams kicking ass. GoJetsGo

The timing of this couldn't fuel my schadenfreude any harder.

He's not used to hitting things that stand up for themselves.

Thats a shame

So does picking your nose with a splint.
I saw the Bedard hit live,I thought it was a clean hit at the time but if his jaw broke it obviously wasn’t
Looked pretty innocent and clean to me. Just unfortunate.

We’ll see. Until they show me this level and these results in the playoffs, I will be skeptical.

Love Jennifer now.

Ya the inability to separate a borderline cross-check along the boards with an unfrotunate result vs a revenge move off a face-off is a bit daft. Don't see why we can't have nuance to the dirtyness.

I feel like if female analysts or presenters or whatever their role had come out saying the same take as Mayers they'd get torn to shreds for it by the exact same people. And likewise, if Mayers' inital take had been more akin to Botterill's, it wouldn't be news.

And those dismissing her arguemtns because she got a little fired up can kick rocks. As if the whole sports broadcast industry hasn't been built around guys emotionally reacting to and debating the game they just watched. I mean, that's also why we're all here on HF Boards, right? Our little safe space to feel our hockey feelings away from our friends, family and colleagues who couldn't stand us otherwise. :thumbu::laugh:

Every team has a team that for some strange reason gives them problems or are just unlucky with.
The Ducks have beat Vegas twice in the last 2 months ... Dallas blew a 3 goal lead and a 2 goal 3rd lead vs the Avs and are 0-2 against them this year. Every shot that CBJ takes on a Leafs goalie goes in.
