The crazy part is they have a NHL sized building (seats more then Canada Life) and a potential fan base that would include the Maritimes.I don't understand why Quebec does not have a team?
Oh thats right Bettman hates Canada.
I'm kind of the opposite. I've always liked and respected Minnesota as hockey state, and from the old days before TV games were regularly broadcast, it was easy to pick Minnesota games on the radio. The 91 North Stars team was quite the story, almost the worst team to ever win the Cup. I like that they brought back the old North Stars jerseys this year. Those are nice threads.I automatically, reflexively hate the Wild, in any of their current or historical versions. Always have, don't know why.
Good or bad, superstars or journeymen, I hate the Wild.
Good enough to be spoilers, never quite good enough to win it all.
For me, the ultimate eminently hatable, forgettable team.
But yeah, don't want another series against them. Jets killers extraordinaire.
I still have hopes for Ville, if the Jets ever go with 7 d again. Klingberg's NTC I am sure had Winnipeg on it.I would have liked to take a chance on Klingberg. Power play #2 would have a real quarterback. He’s better than Pionk.
Myers trucks Tavares. Give him credit, every 4 or 5 games he'll do this.
Mcdavid messes up a lot. He just blows away the competition enough to come up in spades.mackinnon with a horrible giveaway to allow Kraken to tie the game late. Shows even the best can screw up on occasion
The extremely rare case where his skill set trumps his IQ (and I’m not saying his read of the game is a weakness)Mcdavid messes up a lot. He just blows away the competition enough to come up in spades.
Tough one for Leafs fans. They were worried about Matthews missing substantial time after blocking the shot with the inside of his knee. Matthews comes back into the game favouring the knee somewhat and ends up hitting O'Reilly's hand taking him out of the lineup indefinitely.
Was he punched in the nose?A broken finger, or a "broken finger"?
I guess if they reactivate anyone else from LTIR, then we'll know which it is.
No, the hokey pokey is what it’s all about.Houston and Quebec would increase revenue and really isn't that what it's all about.
I think Quebec's biggest problem is getting the votes, into an exclusive club. The potential owner's politics, with the PQ party, is maybe something the NHL BoG isn't all that comfortable with. I don't think the viability of the market is in question. The other thing for me is the media concentration around the franchise, with Bell holding shares in Montreal and Toronto, and having the TV contract for Ottawa. I think they will be a hard one to bargain with because telecommunications is almost a dual monopoly now in Canada. TVA/Quebecor is a direct rival for Bell and I don't see them helping them in any way.Houston and Quebec would increase revenue and really isn't that what it's all about.
Anyone remember a few years ago when the Leafs had very few injuries and some of their fans on the main boards were boasting about how the team invested so much in sports science and medicine that of course they wouldn’t get many injuries … I ‘memberRest of Canada: “laughs”
I don't care who wins as long as it's not a 3 pointerWild and Flames scoreless going into the 3rd, gotta say it's not very good hockey
