That's my fear that we're going to the finals again like in 2014, but losing. Granted, it was the regular season, but the Avs dominated the Rangers. This Francouz guy looks good also.
If you look at Frankie's stats he's a solid #2. Probably one of the better backups in the league.

We're a significantly better team than when we played them. Francouz is another backup. I'm not scared of him. Colorado would obviously be the favorite but we raised our level of play in each series so far.

Why? They swept the first round, beat a very good St. Louis team in 6, and are going to be 2-0 in this series. Are they supposed to win every game?
They have high end individuals. I don't think they are good team that have been tested.

I think you could clog the neutral zone and keep them to the perimeter. With an elite goalie, their weaknesses get magnified. The only good goalie they have faced so far was Binnington... and it was 1-1 going to STL.

To be fair one game was when the team was played some insane amount of games in a short period of time and had to travel plus they had an AHL level goalie. The other was with Georgiev and it was actually competitive.

Edmonton broke up McDavid and Draisaitl. That didn't work. Put them back together for game 3 at home. Colorado has some demons in their playoff history. They blew a 2-0 lead to Vegas last season. The Blues series was 1-1. Kadri was going for a loose puck in the crease and he bumped into Binnington who hurt his knee. Husso struggled in games 3 and 4. The Blues spent game 4 trying to beat up Kadri. The Blues regained their composure in game 5 in Colorado. Game 6 was going to OT before Helm scored in the final seconds.

Nashville was the 8th seed without their Vezina caliber goaltender. STL lost their goalie. Mike Smith shouldn't be a starting goalie, let alone for a playoff team. Similar path the Rangers took lol.

We only faced the Avs twice - Shesterkin didn't play in either game. They faced Huska in one of the games and predictably lit him up. The other one with Georgiev in net was pretty close (believe they won on an EN goal). They've yet to play us after our deadline acquisitions which made this team significantly tougher to play against.

Using that two game sample size to predict an outcome against them now is foolish. I'm not saying we're going to be the favorites or anything but they're going to have their work cut out for them

I think Tampa overall is a slightly better team than them if you take into account experience and other things.
