Wow! A spectacular Nathan MacKinnon end to end rush to take the lead late and cap his hattrick, went all for naught. I love it! LOL!

Can't say I'm not surprised TB handily put away FLA. But FLA was not known for their defense. They were a high-powered offensive juggernaut. The Panthers Game 4 loss, was the first time all year they were shutout. I think them being eliminated goes to show ,.... that defense is what wins in the playoffs. It's not how many goals you can score, but how not to get scored upon. And the Rangers were 2nd best in the league during the regular season.

The Blues forced a game 6. 51 playoff games out of a possible 56 playoff games were played in the first round. TB swept Florida. 25 playoff games is the most playoff games which can be played in the second round. Calgary should win tonight. They can't go out in four straight games after winning game one. Have at least 3 six games playoff series.

The only impressive team this playoffs, so far, is Tampa.
Wondering if COL just gets a little too comfy/cocky?

Everyone knows facing and more importantly overcoming, adversity in the playoffs is part of the deal...

You won't and can't win without doing so.

Being up 3-0, quickly, at home in a game like that gives that 'false sense of security' and there's just so much parity in the league that even the slightest modicum of relaxation can lead to that outcome.

I think Tampa is beatable as well but thats another topic.

So, Florida wasn't a good team?

Just like a lot of teams including us they are still learning how far they have to push themselves to actually win games in the playoffs. Unfortunately they ran into a completely unforgiving Tampa team so their learning was cut short

Makar is great offensively, world class, but he’s still learning the defensive side. Slowly. Very slowly. He’s barely NHL Level on that side and he may never get it. He’s not a complete player. I’d still take Fox. And a good handful of other D Men over him.

Elliotte Friedman was on Sportsnet Radio 590 and discussed the Bobrovsky rumors. Friedman believes the Panthers tried hard to trade him this year or at least lay the ground work to do it.

Friedman went on to say, I don’t know if it’s possible but I’ve heard they really worked on it, like they really tried to see if it’s possible.

They would have to convince him to waive his NMC.
