Thank god the Rangers are playing in the postseason this year. Other than the Battle of Alaerta, these playoffs have been such a letdown. Either boring trap hockey or non-competitive games like this one.

I know Colorado is talented. It looks like West Coast teams aren't even attempting to slow down the high skill teams. They are playing pond hockey and that suits Colorado and Edmonton.

I agree, but even the first round series that went 6 or 7 all had a bunch of non-competitive games mixed in. Not many games even went to OT & the only multiple OT game was ours.

I dunno if it's the fact that there's too much parity or the cap has reduced the quality of play, but the level of excitement this postseason just isn't there for me outside of our games. Or maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon. Or all of the above.

It's too much pond hockey and offense. YEah, there have been a lot of one sided games

Playoffs are best served with tight yet intense games. Goalies getting ran/getting hurt hasn't helped

Hopefully it tightens up in the Conference Finals. Most the time it feels like I'm watching a regular season game.

NHL competition committee really needs to address the obstruction rules again. I'm tired of seeing speedy forecheckers neutralized by plodding defensemen while their partner is retrieving the puck behind the net.
