I didn't suggest the longer stick...but I agree with both points. His game could really use some fine tuning & continued hard work in the off season. He's really starting to scratch the surface.

He's scratching the surface. The shooting I feel has a lot to do with the system/structure or lack of it. The same reason Tarasenko is a bit lost out there and cant find positions to use his shot, or even get set up to shoot.

He also needs to work on his forward skating stride; his edges are fine but when he is "power skating" he skates too much on his toes/ball of foot, so he doesn't find the full power of the stride. Laffy has the same issue. Its not that they move their legs or feet slowly. Effortless skaters use the middle part of the blade to great effect, they don't.

Battle for Florida is not as expected going into the season. Lighting are where everyone thought they would be. Panthers are 3 Pts out of a WC but played more games then most of the clubs scrapping for that spot. They also lost 2 of their last 3 and now the trade rumors are swirling that Bennet might be headed to Colorado. Lighting are inserting Jeannot tonight into the lineup. Predicting a Jeannot/Lomberg tilt tonight!



Jackets @ Sabres

Pulling for this Sabres team to get into the playoffs. They are a good underdog story. 1Pt behind the Pens for the #2 WC with a game in hand. Dahlin is out, Touch is out as well. Sabres made a deal for Riley Stillman. Jackets suck!



Isles @ Wild

West tightening up. Avs are now 1pt ahead of the Wild. Jets actually fell out of the top 3 in the Central and are in the 1ST WC spot. Isles sitting in the 1st WC have a lot of teams nipping at their heels. They have picked up their game and won 3 of their last 4.



Pens @ Preds

Preds not out of it but will really need to start winning now to keep the playoff hopes alive. They welcome Trotz tonight as new GM. Pens coming off 2 big wins and staying in that #2WC.

Sens took it to the Wings last night. Adding insult to injury Brady Tkachuk called out the entire Wings Bench. Listening to NHL Radio this AM. Sounds like this game can get interesting. With the W., Sens are actually 5 points out of the last WC. Wings are 3 pts out.



Kracken @ Blues

Kracken clinging onto the last WC. They lost 3 in a row. Blues lost 6 in a row and Berube called out his players.



Kings @ Jets

Jets have scored a total of 2 goals in their last 3 games. Kings have lost 3 of their last 4 games. Both clubs struggling as they near the deadline. With a W the Kings tie 1st place Knights with 76Pts. With a W the Jets can climb back into the top 3 in the Central

B’s won last night in a very physical game vs the Oilers. Lots of Hitting. Flames are now 4 pts out of the #2 WC.

Eh I dunno I think they're clearly better than Tampa.

Morgan Reilly still sucks but he's like the 4th best guy on that defense now. Liljegren has looked terrific every time I've watched them this year.
