I can’t think of another metro team that can use a coaching change too …Not arguing your points here, but their play is simply abysmal. A coaching change could help that group. Either it changes the culture/atmosphere in the locker room, or they bring in a good coach who can fix their system to suit their material.
Shesty hasn't really warmed up yet. In the match against Colorado, you could really see who is the more talented goalie. Shesty, and it's not even close. If he would be taller, he would be hands down better than Vasy. I think he still might be better than Vasilevsky, but Igor has to compensate with technique and athleticism because he's shorter. As for Georgie, he has excellent athleticism but lacks in technique. Especially rebounds, he just gives them away. Colorado is a better team for him in that case.lol Georgiev outplaying shesterkin so far
That ain't going to change under Gallant, unfortunately. It is what it is. I don't think our roster is that slow, we just play slow. We don't have the D-corps Colorado has, but we should have a good puck moving D in each pair. Yet it doesn't happen consistently. It's a system issue. It’s amazing that the Leafs are pinning Boston in the whole period. Speed really is a big factor. We need to get it back and also learn to play faster.

I like Gallant, he's a good personality and I think he has the respect of the locker room. But is he enough to take us over the top? Remains to be seen. All I know is that with a more intelligent, tactically approaching coach we could get more out of our roster. I think we should have the talent to play like Colorado does. I wish we had a guy like Bednar as our coach who has an actual system and is also not afraid to mix up the lines if it's not working.
Not sure I can agree with Torts here. Admittedly I wasn't paying close attention. But it looked to me like Philly couldn't hang with the Leafs and tried "getting tough" with Matthews. And that also didn't work. Play silly games, win silly prizes...John Tortorella Rips Auston Matthews a New One For Being a Clown & More in Defense of His Player Being Jumped
The Philadelphia Flyers frustration was at a all-time high during last nights matchup where they lost the the Toronto Maplewww.flyersinsider.com

Torts is already lashing out.
Wait until he is an UFA. He was a Rangers fan growing up. He should be a Ranger by the time he is 28 or whenever he is an UFA. how would some feel if they drafted Zegras instead of Kakko in 2019? Zegras looks like the better player now and plays a more important position at center which Rangers can use some youth. It pisses me off so much that this kid isn’t a Ranger. I don’t care how bad he is defensively. He’s one of the most skilled players to ever lace em up and I wish I got to watch him play every night. I am here to be entertained.
No one expected or wanted to draft Zegras over Kakko after winning the lottery. The only reason this remains a topic here is because Zegras was clearly the target pre-lottery. Lots of talk about him being the pick and lots of people here getting excited about it.Wait until he is an UFA. He was a Rangers fan growing up.
