Doesn't surprise me. The kid didn't drop to 4 for no reason. He comes off to me as being very cocky in interviews of him I've seen, looks like my suspicions were correct.
 
That Janmark deal 1 X 1.25 is excellent value for the Oilers. Motte can't be more expensive than that? On that note: the roster building threat is still locked?
 
How about Sam Gagner to Rangers? He would be a cheap depth piece at center ice. He did well on a not so great Red Wings team. He can still play. 1 year option would not be so bad. 13 goals in 81 games 32 points is not bad on a rebuilding team

Unfortunately for the Rangers, I don't think we have the moveable contracts to make a Tkachuk trade work. We aren't trading Fox or Shesty, and all of our other big contracts have NMCs. Kreider+ going the other way would make the most sense (for the Rangers at least), but I can't see him waiving to go there.

The ship sailed on Tkachuk to the Rangers last summer. Buch + a few of the kids wouldve been a good offer. Oh well. He probably winds up home in St. Louis next year. If I was Calgary I would sign Kadri and go all in with Tkachuk for a year, like Columbus did with Panarin/Bobrovsky

I’m getting the feeling at this point Brett Howden was involved. Pretty terrible

Kovalchuk was deadly back then. Him leaving and no replacement for Marty really brought down the franchise

It may bring down Hockey Canada. Secret fund to cover up sexual assault cases paid for by registration fees. If it’s true how do people not go to jail?

It's rampant. Logan Mallieux. Also going further back, look no further to how long the Theo Fleury/Graham James stuff was covered up. Junior hockey culture in Canada is absolutely toxic. The way that guys like Aliu were treated too in regards to racism is reprehensible.

They should throw the book at those involved, IMO. The funding for the programs should absolutely be cut off.
