We're on the brink of losing the chirping high ground on the ****ing Oilers for potentially a generation.
Looking down the barrel of first Canadian cup in 25+ years + first SCF reverse sweep in 75 years + first cup for the leagues golden boy. Just awful situation here.
Meh, its all in good fun. I just want our team to win a cup, couldn't care less about the theatrics of rivalries since that just makes sports fun (for me). We're on the brink of losing the chirping high ground on the ****ing Oilers for potentially a generation.

I bet he's been shit posting in the Oiler's Around the League thread all season.Ahh shoot I forgot about this Gazdic clown.
He's gonna be the most insufferable of them all.
I think the league hasn't been spread this thin on talent ever. Not thin on talent, the league is more talented than ever; but expansion has really started to show its effects on roster construction. The flat cap we're just now coming out of didn't help, either. I think like, 19/20 of the cup winning teams from 2000 to 2020 would eat the breakfast of every single contender in the league this year. Colorado is washed and depleted, Dallas is old and slow, Vegas is old and slow, Boston doesn't have the depth anymore, Toronto's sad little window is closed, the Rangers are carried by Igor and lack truly elite scoring forwards and are weak at C, Carolina is done, Tampa is done, Florida is done.If the Oilers win I won’t even be mad, what an impossible comeback
Team with as many holes as them and on the brink of winning a cup is insane - imagine if they had better depth and goaltending, they’d be a dynasty….
But a game 7 loss would be pretty f***ing hilarious and seeing McDavid cry would be glorious. Please Florida

Who cares? Let him
It's when you lose the chirping high ground that you realize it's a ridiculous practice in the first place that has nothing to do with reality. Then you mostly forget all this when you regain it.We're on the brink of losing the chirping high ground on the ****ing Oilers for potentially a generation.

Pettersson had 1 goal in 13 games, and let this happen. I will never forgive him until this team wins a Cup of our own.
Oh man, just realize if the Panthers lose the return of 7uongo will come back to haunt him lmao. Instead of letting in 7 goals, his team will blow it in 7 games.
I’m honestly believing there’s a real possibility the Canucks can win the Cup in the next few years because of this.I think the league hasn't been spread this thin on talent ever. And with all of this in mind - teams like Arizona, Montreal, Ottawa, and Buffalo are spinning their wheels and can't escape the suck to take any of their places. The team that's going to win the cup this year has one good D pairing and Stuart Skinner in net, and a Canucks team with its best player nursing an injury, its top scorer out with blood clots, and its star goalie out for the series took them to 7. It's a great time for us to try to go for it, to be honest.
Yeah, I’m stressing for Luongo right now. Poor man. And I feel in my bones this one is going to slip away, too. I’m calling Oilers in Game 7.

And I’ve got to give the Oilers their flowers. Win or lose, coming back from 3-0 in the Final is insane. And they’re actually getting contributions from all up and down their lineup. I think Brown and Janmark in particular have been super consequential to this turn of events. And Skinner is being just good enough to get the job done.
Doesn’t hurt that Florida looks like the wind has gone completely out of their sales - but kudos where it’s due. There’ll be no living with them after this, of course.
