Really though congrats to Getzlaf, legendary career from a legendary draft class, fought through a lot of injuries, showed a lot of heart, never left the Ducks. Will always appreciate his battles with Kopi...at least until they hid Getzlaf from him by trading for Kesler That Ducks team that lost to Chicago may have been one of their best, really thought they were going to do it that year, and for as late in his career as it was, Getzlaf looked pretty close to unstoppable. Can toast to that.

For the Ducks, I guess that ALSO officially kicks off the FULL rebuild...no Manson, no Lindholm, No perry, no Getzlaf...Id guess Fowler gets the C?

Awesome career. Hard to knock him. Awesome way to know when it is time too and to end it on a good note rather than drag it out on the bottom 6, etc. I expect he'd continue on throughout the Ducks organization moving forward.

I think zegras terry mctavish all have leadership upsides…. We really have no middle age or vets that deserve it. They may give it to fowler cause the teams always had a soft spot for him.

I hope gibson is gone tbh… specially if we can get any sort of value on him…. Just run stolarz + dostal. I think gibson will play well on a new team I just don’t think him playing in Anaheim the next 2-3 years with a shit roster is worth keeping him

We dropped down to an 83% chance of making the playoffs and that's before tonight's games. We're four points up on Vegas with an extra game played. That's it basically. We have to beat Edmonton and Vegas or we'll be look at the playoffs from 9th place.
