Sounds like Palat had to go. Killorn will have to go next year. The cap comes for everyone.

This is TB rewarding players, for what they accomplished before. As Stamkos, and Hedman, and Kucherov, get older and older and older, will these guys be able to lead the team? You might be able to make the argument that they're hurting their future rebuild right now.

I know the whole ethos of the free agent frenzy is to make you feel like you're missing out if you're not a buyer, but I don't have FOMO about any of these deals today. Most seem like mistakes or Hail Mary's and the ones that don't weren't good fits for the Kings anyway.

So Tampa just added 20 plus mil to their cap the following season. Where is this coming from? Those are all long term deals.
Cole, Perry, Namestnikov, PEB and Killon all UFA's at years end. There's the money. I don't think they would qualify Myers at his current cap number either, so that could clear up some more space.

So nobody has offered Kubalik an 8 year, 64 mil deal yet?

Andys did.

Patrick Kane wants to wait and see how the season goes before deciding on a trade.

I think he has a destination in mind but that team doesn't have the cap space now but will at the deadline.

I don't think, I think he sees the Hawks as contenders and wants another chance at the cup.

Expensive for Sergachev, but there's an expected cap bump coming.

Cernak gets 5.2 mil.
Not as expensive as Doughty, and not that big a drop off.

I would trade Doughty for Sergachev and Cernak, and gladly take on the extra AAV.

I mean who wouldn’t trade a 32 year old for a 24&25 year old entering their primes, and locked up. Not that outrageous of a take there.
