Kings could have probably paid Deslauriers that amount -he got a shade under 2 million. They could have made up for that in bonuses.
Happy with Lemeiux though.

The cap hit isn't the problem with Deslauriers (although it's a little high), it's the ridiculous 4 yearsKings could have probably paid Deslauriers that amount -he got a shade under 2 million. They could have made up for that in bonuses.

Det and Ott adding a bunch of forwards who will expect playing time to teams that haven't even made the playoffs with their young guys.
Where is Tampa Bay getting all this money from?
Hmm.....what if the NHL introduced cap space based on games played?
AA actually got 3 million? Chicago's GM needs to be so fired, 2 weeks ago....they would have DeBrincat, Dach and not have AA. You'd think with 3 million, AA can afford to get outpatient, brow reduction surgery, like Patrick Marleau did, a few years ago. He looked much better, after abiut a 40% brow reduction. Can't just shave that off.

Weird contract.
Flyers are probably the dumbest franchise in the NHL now.
Yep, Ottawa will be good for awhile I think. They did a really good rebuild I feel. Let their young prospects develop and take hold of the team, then insulated them with more established players when they felt the core was ready. They have their young players already proven as anything from very good players to borderline stars.
Ottawa starts the next stage of their rebuild this season with Stuetzle(20) as the 1C, Norris (23) as the 2C and Tkachuk (22) as the top wing all proven. These were there top 3 scorers last year. They also have Chabot on D and they are hopefully optimistic that Sanderson is a star too.
LA started the next stage of their rebuild with no young proven top 6 forwards and no player under 25 who would be considered even close to a star. Ottawa is hopeful that 1 prospect can be a difference maker next to the ones they already know are. LA is hopefully optimistic that 4-5 prospects become difference makers but they are all question marks.
