Complete humiliation. Things are looking dire for Tampa. Man, I was hoping this series was going to be a lot better, but wow is Colorado dominant or what. They will still have their core next season as well...

Game 1 was great. WTF happened in tonight's game to TB?

If Colorado gets a split in TB, this will be over in five games.

Just make sure Tampa gets the double tap or they’ll come back. They’ve looked down and out before, and 7-0 is only one game.
Yeah, if Tampa gets any life at all they have the ability to turn it around.

I expect to see a very physical game from Tampa in Game 3, and them attempting to establish their forecheck. The Avs have had the speed and skill coming out of their own zone to nullify the Tampa forecheck, although the Lightning did get it going for periods of time in Game 1.

Perry going to watch the opponent raise the cup for the third straight year.:popcorn:
I was actually kind of rooting for Perry the last two Cup finals, but it may have been because I dislike Tampa. This last game definitely got me back to hating him. That knee on the ankle was a bitch move and I'm glad he got called for it.

As an aside, a friend of mine used to work at the Starbucks in Newport Coast and several Ducks players used to go in there all the time. She said Perry was actually really nice to everyone. Gibson, though, was a jerk.

Gibson though is the best coffee drinker I have ever seen. No one downs a Venti Caramel Crunch Frappe with extra whip like Gibson.

Yep, it's still only a 2-0 series. All the other aggregate scoring doesn't matter. And frankly, game 1 was OT, so regardless of Game 2 we were one bounce away from a split.

Vasi isn't the kind of goalie to stay down.

I dunno, they were already dirty as f*** in this game, not sure there's another level to it. Im not sure I've seen more knees in a game since the 90s.

i don't want to shit on that graphic cause it's cool to think about, but there's a fair amount of players on that list who played yknow, 5-10-15 AHL games so the AHL backpatting itself is kinda funny to me

AND ANOTHER THING

If you trade for a guy who's an "NHL player" with some AHL experience in his background does it really count?

Like Trevor Moore has 170 AHL games under his belt in Ontario Canada but zero in Ontario California...

The Rangers have 6 players with zero AHL experience: Panarin, Kakko, Lafreniere, Fox, Miller, and Trouba.

Aho, Svechnikov, Staal, Domi and Stepan on the Hurricanes never played in the minors, and they have a few others who only appeared in a handful of games in the AHL.

The Leafs have some obvious names who didn’t spend time in the AHL either.

The graph does have some oddities like Point on there, who appeared in 9 AHL games, and Kucherov, who only appeared in 14 games and tore up the league.

Of course the AHL wants to pad its alumni, but it also stands out in showing how some really productive AHL players put up big numbers in their time there, like Rantanen, whereas the Kings seem to struggle with forwards developing there.

I'm suprised rugby hasnt taken off more in the US, it is our national sport here in NZ. It has all the skill and big hits/ physicallity that makes a game interesting. I guess all the rules get a bit confusing for the casual observer.

I do wonder if there will be a bit of a push for the game there soon, a big american company silver lake (?) has just invested heavily in the all blacks and national the game here.

Silver Lake? The private equity company? They'd be interested in the league growing in value, but I wouldn't take that as a sign that they want to promote the sport in the US.
