Jack Johnson and Kurtis MacDermid are five wins away from getting their names etched on the Stanley Cup.
Honestly, good for them. Must have bothered Jack a little to be traded away right as the Kings go on to win a cup and he's had a rough career. Kudos to Kurtis for bouncing from Seattle to Colorado, making it work, and fighting through it. Both definitely deserve their shot at Stanely Cup glory.

Kane pretty much ruined the Oilers momentum in the early going of game three with that stupid penalty. Everyone was saying in pregame that Edmonton must be composed etc

Didn't say good depth. They have just enough players to push guys down & form a decent 3rd line. Hopefully a Kane suspension will help with that depth issue in the next few games.

After all the shit his parents did to him and being traded way from a team that in the same season won the Cup, I'm really rooting hard for him.
Plus, this very well could be Johnson's last season in the NHL, I want to see him go out on top.

Agree with this. After everything that happened to JJ I can’t help but feel for the guy. It’s not like he is some dirty player or thinks he is something he isn’t. More or less a role player that knows it now, and goes about his day. Can’t hate on that.

I’ve said it before but they are the least deep team I can remember seeing this deep in the playoffs. At least, based on results. When McDavid doesn’t score points, the Oilers get shutout. Game 4 against the Kings and Game 2 against the Avs.
That's 100% a slewfoot. Skates have nothing to do with it. Look at the left leg and the swing. Dangerous as hell.

it kinda feels like the Avs might finally be over their playoff failures and are ready to win. Similar to TB a while back. Best regular reason team (or near) and always losing in playoffs -- until they didn't. Then they go onto 2 SC wins and with a shot at a 3rd straight. Avs now, if they win this year, could also be looking at multiple SC wins.
I can't believe i'm going to say this, but I might actually find myself rooting for the Rangers in the SC finals if they get past TB.
